Exactly as we expected! 4 of the bedrooms has en suite bathrooms. The other 2 bedrooms have a Jack and Jill bathroom. House was clean but is due for a remodel. Didn't matter to us since most of our time was spent on the beach or the patio. Perfect Location. Will rent again.

The beach house didn't look like the pictures, outside porch had one rocker on it and that was it unlike the pictures. Cushions on inside porch were so dirty and stained you really needed to put a towel down first. Garbage in the can on the porch and full of ants. Only TV that worked was the one in the living room. Many mattresses didn't have mattress pads on them and when we stripped the sheets on one mattress almost made us sick looking at it. I did take a picture if you would like to see it. Garbage under one of the dressers. One broken bar stool in kitchen which was really a safety hazard. Many pots and pans were so bad, they should have been thrown out. Found griddle and another pot in a bedroom closet. On the floor in that closet was old mattress pads and something else which I didn't want to even look at it. Found another mattress pad in the trundle bed room that you wouldn't even want to put on a mattress it was so bad. Needed some extra pillows which they had but of course no extra pillow cases. For as much as we have to pay for departure maid service, I think it could have been better. They wanted us to wash several loads of towels before we left but of course didn't give us any laundry detergent. We were killing cockroaches every day in the house. Were really looking forward to this beach house after looking at the pictures and were really let down..... At least the maids could have told Evolve if something needed fixing or supplies needed for the house? Not real happy with Evolve as a manager for this site. I was in frequent contact with the manager and she was very nice.

Enjoyed our stay!

The house worked well for our large family. The large windows ip and downstairs were perfect for watching the older kids as they played on the beach. The grand kids had a wonderful time and the covered porch was nice for the great grandparents.

Great space, great view!

Our family enjoyed this house for our annual family beach trip. Enough space in the bedrooms, kitchen, and living space. Our family cooks almost every meal and the kitchen was fully equipped for us. The large porch area and view is amazing, especially for our family members who don’t necessarily like going on the beach. My grandmother sat out there all day long watching the beach and ocean, she was in Heaven. The only negative comments I would make would be that the outlets in all of the bathrooms didn’t work, trash pick up was only on Monday (which is hard for a larger house that holds 16-18 people), the caps to the sewer clean out line need to be replaced, and lastly we recommend new furniture in the living rooms because there is plywood underneath most of the cushions. We had a great week, thank you for sharing your house!

Great experience and location

The house big and had space for everyone. The deck and balcony was just amazing with a great view of the ocean the perfect place to have a drink or relax with the family and enjoy the view. The onwer was easy going and very cooperative to work with. My only problem was the place needs some minor repairs but that's was such a minor impact on my stay that I only bring it up because others will and for those who expecting perfection. Should I find myself coming back I will definitely look to see if this place is available.

Constructive assessment

The house needs a LOT of care.Windows upstairs did not close in one bedroom.The receptacles did not work in some bathrooms. Some areas were really dirty,some were really nice!!! Storage area under the house was repulsive.There was food left In the fridge,broken chair on porch with large stew sticking out. This was a safety hazard.We took care of it. We had a good time ,but the overal maintenance supervisor needs a lot of training or needs to be fired.There is a lot of hands on care missing.The porch needs to be painted etc.etc. I am making these comments as a constructive criticism. I think Vrbo needs to step up with either demanding that the property under their care is better maintained or drop certain houses that under their care.No lip sticking !!! If VRBO adresses these issues we would like to give the house an other try.I think the management firm presently lacks the dededicatian to be a leader in their field. Sincerely, Your customer

Great oceanfront home for a family vacation.Property manager it was easy to work with. Everything listed in the house was there. The unit was very clean when we got there and had multiple bed options for a large family. The kitchen is well furnished. We love sitting on the porch although the screens were absent don’t know if they lost them in the last storm or not. House is right on the beachWith a stairway right to the beach and no dunes to cross.

Wow....what a house!!

Wow, what a house!! We were 6 couples in for a celebration. Each couple had their own room. 2 couples had to share a J&J bath which is on the first floor. 3 bedrooms on the first floor and 3 on the second. Both floors had a den. The upstairs den is much bigger than the first floor. We cooked a formal dinner for 12 and sat comfortably at the dining table. Kitchen is well equipped. Furniture is def tired and the house needs to be deep cleaned and repaired. Just don’t look up. Lots of fingerprints everywhere. Needs to be vacuumed. Couple of dead palemetto bugs which is part of the South. At least they were dead! Location was perfect!! Even with the negs above we would stay again for sure as coming from all over the country, staying under one roof, was priceless!!

Location!

We enjoyed our stay at Lee Cottage. The location and layout of the house was perfect for our family. The only downside was that the outdoor furniture needs updating. Even so, we hope to stay there next summer.

Great beach house

Our family enjoyed our stay in this great beach house. The kitchen was huge and had plenty of counter space for meal prep and snacks. There were two sitting areas so the adults could enjoy one while the children played in the other. The long dining table was great for our large family. The two decks were a prefect landing spot for our beach gear and for sitting to enjoy the sunrise or watch the kids on the beach.

Lee’s Cottage Summer 2019

The reservation process was very easy however the floor plan was not available making it impossible to plan who would be occupying the rooms. The location on the beach was awesome, right down the stairs and you are on the beach. The house itself was as expected from viewing the pictures on-line however it was not clean. The area rugs are taped down onto the wood floor with electrical tape making it very obvious that they are not removed to clean underneath. I know that Palmetto Bugs (Cockroaches) are very common in SC even in clean homes but we saw way too many at this house. We also found items in the bedrooms that were left from previous vacationers such as a cape canister, chips, etc. After reviewing feedback from others, I know the standard response is that the property manager apologizes and states they wished we had let them know about the issues do it could be corrected and we considered this but it was not worth interrupting our vacation and schedule to work around children’s naps to have this corrected.

Enjoyed This Rental

Our family enjoyed this rental very much. Close to the water with easy access and more private beach than one could ask for in an oceanfront property. Description is accurate and we all agreed that we would certainly consider this house again for next year's family vacation. Just a couple of suggestions we'd offer: the DR table is sticky and can't be cleaned thoroughly...perhaps it needs to be refinished...mothers of young ones were concerned about it. Also, the cords/wires next to the main TV need to be secured/hidden from access. And since the screen coverage has been removed from the beachfront porch, the height of the railings seem to be a fall/safety issue. Of course we tried our best to keep them from standing on the furniture, but since young ones can stand in porch furniture-and their wastelines be above the railings-the potential for falling off the porch seems to be an accident waiting to happen. Yet, my summary of our stay should be viewed as an extremely positive one. Good value for the money and a nice place for multiple families to stay and enjoy the beach. CTH

Perfect Location

Comfortable beach home at Murrell's Inlet. Location is excellent. Gorgeous beach. Easy access to grocery store, fruit market, etc. Many very good restaurants nearby in Murell's Inlet. Worth a stay for the sunrises alone. House is roomy, plenty of hot water, good air conditioning. Porch furniture could use an undate and decor is a little dated, but overall good choice.

Middle of a construction project

The property and location was nice and the house very spacious. Things were great until the dozers and construction equipment showed up dredging the ocean, and blocking off our entrance to the beach. All night long we were kept awake by the dozers and construction. That occurred for 2-3 days of our stay. We sent a note via Home & Away to the manager/owner, and have yet to get a response. We were hoping for an adjustment to the fee we paid. This was not what we expected when renting this.

Excellent place to stay with your large family.

Stayed here the last week of July and first days of August 2018. It is a great, welcoming place to enjoy a large family reunion. Very well equipped kitchen, awesome location and view to the ocean. Definitely a place to relax and enjoy a good time. House has everything you need for a nice and comfortable getaway.
