The incredible summer sunsets are one of this home's most beautiful features. An amazing unobstructed view of the beautiful sound and all it has to offer. The outdoor space of this property will keep you coming back year after year. The beautiful stone landscaped pool area with colorful plants transports you to an exotic outdoor oasis. There is a hot tub right next to an outdoor fireplace, all situated near the amazing pool with great water effects. The covered gazebo is located so that you can see the pool and the sound perfectly. The bedrooms are bright and open and perfect for your family vacation! Oh, don't forget to bring the dog! There is a great fenced in area for them too!

    The perfect location in the heart of Nags Head means less driving and more relaxing. Close to fine dining, shopping and attractions. Close to Roanoke Island, home to The Lost Colony Outdoor Drama, NC Aquarium and Kill Devil Hills, sight of the First Flight and the Wright Brothers Memorial to teach everyone about the life altering event in US History. Also just minutes from a well known landmark that supposedly got its name since it was a well known horse racing spot. Spectators would climb to the highest dunes to view the races below, we now call Jockey's Ridge. Visitors climb to the top, fly kites and even hang glide from this unbelievable sand dune formed by Mother Nature.

    Beach Access Information – Village at Nags Head

    All homes in the Village at Nags Head are located between Mileposts 14 and 15, with community beach access and a bathhouse available at approximately Milepost 14.5 (4329 South Va Dare Trail).

    Parking passes are required to use the private beach access, and this home provides two parking permits for your stay. Guests staying in our oceanfront homes will enjoy direct beach access from the property and may not need to use the parking permits.

Perfect getaway

Perfect weekend getaway. Cottage met all our needs for our stay for my daughter’s wedding being held at Vista Creek. And we were able to take our dogs with us which was a huge plus.

Great large house with beautiful property

We ended up with awful weather all week and still managed to have a wonderful family spring break. Kids braved the cold to enjoy the heated pool while mom and dad happily enjoyed from the hot tube. We brought our dog and the whole property was very dog friendly. Planning to come back next year.

Doggone Perfect Was Perfect

My family and our two dogs had a terrific time at this home. We had plenty of space to spread out but also had fun family time. The pool and hot tub were highlights of our week. The view was perfection for coffee in the morning and later in the evening for the sunset. The fenced in yard was great for the dogs. I did not have to worry about them getting away. We would love to come back and stay again.

Soundside sunsets were gorgeous!

Our family probably enjoyed walking 75 feet out to the sound and spending time in the water there than we did on the beach. The kids also loved the spa, the pool and the pool table and my wife and I really enjoyed having some drinks on the upper deck while enjoying watching the golfers go by (its a really fun golf course to play by the way) and then the amazing sunsets. Hard to imagine a scenario where anyone could be disappointed in this wonderful gem of a home.

Overall we were very happy but there are a lot of steps. It's tough taking the dogs out because the little ones needed to be carried to the middle floor- and the outdoor access to the gated yard is only in bedrooms. We were happy with it and would rent this again. Did I mention the views are amazing!!!

We had to leave a day early. We were most disappointed in the staff when we called to let them know the home was flooding, the girl on the phone was very flippant and said, “Yes that happens”!? No instructions of what to do. Thank Goodness we got out just as water was coming over the steps! The house was fairly clean, but ALL the rugs need to be replaced!

Beautiful view, comfortable accommodations for our family of four

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is service clean only. Definitely in need of a deep clean which includes under furniture. We paid the additional charge to heat the pool however the pool was never vacuumed prior to our arrival so the bottom of the pool was very dirty. The deck surrounding the pool was full of debris from surrounding trees and shrubs so everytime you went in, you took it in the pool with you. There was a net that we were able to use to remove surface debris. We made do but overall the condition of the pool was unacceptable especially paying more to heat it so we could enjoy it. The ceiling in the room with the bunk beds leaks. Thankful that we did not have to utilize this room during our stay. Property management was made aware of this issue.

fantastic setting

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Such wonderful sunsets!! The house suited us just fine but there are some things that renters should know. If your dog can't manage circular stairs (as mine could not), the only way to access the fenced yard is from two of the five bedrooms, or to go out the front door, down the front steps and then walk around back. I had hoped to use one of the two bedrooms with a fireplace and that turned out to not be an option for me.That said, the fireplaces didn't work out for my guests who did have those rooms. One fireplace was too loud (a noisy fan) and one simply didn't work. Maintenance came right away for this and another issue that they quickly resolved. I was pleased with maintenance response. We were eight adults. The living area was a little tight when we were all there and we often had to bring in an extra chair or two from another part of the house on those occasions.But what a lot of great memories we built over the week! It was truly a great winter beach getaway.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location and amenities were great. The quality of the home and the beautiful view of the Sound were wonderful. I will caveat my next statement with the fact that I realize pets are allowed at this location but that should not universally excuse the cleanliness of a home. It is unacceptable for dog hair to be ubiqutious throughtout the home. My wife and I spent two hours vaccuming and Swiffering the floors and furniture. With the amount of dog hair we cleaned up, I find it highly unlikely that any serious effort was made by the cleaning crew to vaccum, Swiffer, or mop the floors. Also I assume the accumulation of hair casued a dog odor to permeate and linger throughtout the home. In addition, when we moved the coffee maker to wipe the counter there was an accumulation of dirt, water, and I assume coffee grounds accumulated underneath, which again indicates to me that no serious efforts were made to address basic cleaning.

Happy to Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There was a lot of great things but also a lot of downsides, Not well kept or clean. Ice maker never worked not one cube of ice. My husband checked that it was on and bucket and drawer were properly placed still never worked. Had to buy ice all week a bit of an inconvenience. Outdoor area was wonderful but alot of things need repair. Railing into Gazebo is about to break. Going out of the gate to yard area near the Gazebo had a black cable coming up out of the ground this was a serious trip hazard. We also were supposed to have pool heat which I paid for but it was not on and I did not get the pool heat until Wed. It would also be really nice if the tree did not hangover the pool the sun only hits the pool in a couple small places. There are a lot of nice Lounge chairs but there is nowhere to use them since everything is hanging over the area preventing the sun from hitting the area. The outdoor fireplace was a wonderful treat at night to help keep the bugs away and roast marshmallows. The fountains in the pool was by far my favorite thing and makes up for a lot of other downsides. The sound is so relaxing I loved them. The other big upside is that the house is set up to cater to your fur babies and that I appreciated and respected a lot.

Doggone Better than Average

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: After the initial disappointment upon arriving, as the photographer did an amazing job showcasing this house, the uniqueness of this house did grow on us. The location is wonderful with amazing views from the deck and easy access to the sound. You may find stray golf balls in the pool or in the front but will definitely have them in the back yard. The 2nd floor layout is somewhat chopped up to accommodate 5 bedrooms and the description of a theater room seems a bit generous. Like others have mentioned, the dining area is small and fits 8 at most, but the 3rd floor is pretty open to allow for other areas to eat/snack. There were a few items (blinds, freezer door handle, baby gate) that could use attention (maintenance) but wasn't worth bothering the PM company with. Top 2 floors were relatively clean but could've used a vacuuming under the furniture and in the windows (dead insects). The first floor didn't look to be addressed at all - especially the bathroom off the pool - leaves and cobwebs, looks like it hadn't been cleaned since the fall. There are other areas around the property that could be repaired/refreshed. Additionally, the American flag flying in the back has seen much better days and should be retired for a fresh one as it was pretty tattered. With all that being said, we enjoyed the stay and appreciated the quirks of the property. It was one of the very few properties that had a pool and hot tub. Its location did afford some gorgeous views especially the sunsets. The neighborhood was quiet, and people were friendly. The location was great and not too far for a day trip up to Corolla or down to Hatteras. A 10-minute drive over to Manteo was also a nice treat. We would stay again but would be hopeful that some of the items would be addressed.

Nice house but had some unaddressed issues during our stay

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed for a week in early June. We had some problems that I do not feel were properly addressed by the management team. We reported the ice maker not working on the first day and it was never fixed. I still don't know if the technician who came was able to fix it or needed parts or what. We all love ice, and it was a big inconvenience for us to have to buy bags of ice to fill the freezer every day. We also discovered that the property has a large quantity of palmetto bugs (water bugs) in the pool and hot tub area. We built a fire on the second night to enjoy the outside area at night, and it brought out the bugs in force. The exterminator came 3 days later and said he couldn't do too much because of all the vegetation around the pool area. So we could only use that area in the heat of the day. The fenced yard was nice for my dog, but my small dog was able to push open the gate leading to the golf course. That lock was fixed on the third day. No one at the management company was able to tell us whether we could use the Villages Beach Club, but the club said we had no membership rights there. They directed us to a beach access parking lot, and the bathrooms there were locked with a code that no one knew. We found out by asking other people at the beach access. The inside of the house was nice but dining and living room are too small for a party larger than 6 adults. Lots of dog hair under the beds and furniture, so cleaning is still an issue from prior reviews. The management company still has not answered all of my questions about these issues. Over all, those problems changed our mind about renting this house again next year.

Not Doggone Perfect

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beach Realty was very responsive & corteous. Unfortunately, we had to contact them at least 7 times for maintenance issues. The decor & functionality in this house needs attention. Lamps that were old, broken & didn't work even with new light bulbs, ill-fitting & outdated bed comforters. The kitchen is not well appointed. Terrible pan selection, only 6 bowls, no serving dishes. The cleaning people did a terrible job before we arrived. Absolutely filthy floors, dusty shelves, stained & dirty bed coverings. Very off-putting. On a positive note, the outside area is beautifully landscaped. Gorgeous front yard & pool area with a nice big hot tub. We used the outdoor fireplace a few times & it was very nice. I do recommend adding a fire tool but we managed. This home has 5 bedrooms and 2 mini bedrooms with space for 14 people to sleep. However, there are no common areas big enough for that many people. The living room comfortably seats 4 or 5 people at most. The dining area is in an alcove so 8 people can sit at the table but can't get in or out without everyone getting up to move. There are no other indoor common areas. The mattresses were all VERY firm. The propane tank ran out midweek & the owner failed to contact gas company for refill so we had NO HOT WATER for 36 hours. Realty company notified them immediately but they took no action. House needs an exterminator. I realize it's a waterfront property in the South but we saw way too many roaches in the house during our stay. The sound access & sunsets were absolutely wonderful. We really wanted to love the house. We wait ALL year for this vacation & spend ALOT of money on the rental fees & this house just wasn't up to par with others we've rented in this price range. I wish the owner would take a look at the interior with the mind of a resident & see how appealing it could be with a few upgrades.
