Wonderful and convenient place!

Wonderful and convenient place. But you will need a blanket because it gets a little chilly and you cannot control the thermometer too much. Also, the recycling bin and trash was full when we got there, but otherwise it was wonderful.

Home is perfect! Fantastic location, and close to the beach

This home really was perfect for us. The location was fantastic. Close to the beach, just a short walk out the front door, and centrally located to everything we needed or wanted to do. We had never been to OBX before, there are so many homes close together and yet we felt separated at the Whale Cottage providing the peace and privacy we wanted. We would stay here again and would definitely recommend this home to others.

Super Clean! Well-maintained, had everything we needed!

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful house in Nags Head! The home was super clean, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a relaxing beach vacation. The best part It’s literally just steps from the beach we walked over in under a minute every morning to catch the sunrise! The house itself is spacious and nicely decorated, with a great layout for families or groups. The private pool was a huge bonus we spent just as much time there as we did at the beach. Whether you’re lounging by the pool or enjoying the ocean breeze on the deck, it’s the perfect spot to unwind. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful, clean, and well located beach house. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Perfect Beach House

We enjoyed staying at this home. It had everything we needed and was quite close to the beach. We stayed too early in the season for the pool but the hot tub was great. There are plenty of space, beds and everything was new and comfortable. There was coffee and tea available with creamer pods and such. We definitely recommend this property.

OBX Gem

What a great house and location. Check in was seamless. House was very clean. Pool was clean and enjoyed by the kids. And a fantastic beach is just across the street. We had a great stay and enjoyed the house, many porches, excellent amenities, beach toys, etc. Jose was very responsive. We look forward to returning.

A Definite Recommendation!

Stay was excellent. The house was immaculate, easy to check-in, water pressure was perfect, and water was hot 😁. Communication was very quick, easy and polite. And location was perfect - near numerous restaurants, gas stations, shops, and the beach was just a short walk. Would definitely recommend.

Whale Cottage was AMAZING

Great place, very close to the beach

The place was very nice and communication was great! It was clean, close to the beach and had the most well-stocked kitchen I've ever seen at a rental. There was lots for our kids to do inside on the cold rainy day we were there. My only disappointment was that the tubs in the master suites were indeed Jacuzzi brand, but didn't have any jets, they were just soaker tubs.

Amazing Place!!!

The Whale Cottage is absolutely amazing! Super, super clean, which we hugely appreciated. The home is spacious, comfy, and has great amenities. We really enjoyed the comfy Adirondack chairs and huge connect 4 out on the deck. We also enjoyed the foosball table and retro arcade games. The welcome bag of amenities was a very nice touch that we appreciated. The proximity to the beach was fantastic. The pool is very busy but one can find it empty at certain times by checking, as it’s able to be seen from the house. Thank you so much, Jose and Jennifer, you’re amazing hosts and we will definitely be back!

Wonderful!

The Whale Cottage is awesome! We enjoyed our stay so much. Great communication with the owners and there was a gift waiting when we arrived. The house is beautiful, clean and has anything you could ever need. The kitchen is more equipped than my own at home. We just stayed for a quick weekend off season so we didn’t use much, but it’s all there if needed. We really appreciated the soaps and paper products provided. It allowed us to show up for our quick stay and not have to pack anything. The beds and linens were all very comfy as well. Just a short walk to the beach access was also very convenient. I hope we can come back for a longer stay!

A great house with lots of extra special touches

We had a wonderful week at the Whale Cottage. We have stayed in many different houses in different locations and these hosts go way above and beyond to create a comfortable house. From the coffee bar, welcome gifts, plethora of books (kids and adults), indoor games, outdoor games, the list goes on….Jose and Jennifer put so much thought into making their property top notch. The house was extremely clean and well appointed with every kitchen gadget imaginable. The hosts provided an awesome guide to the area which included places to eat and things to do while visiting the area. It was a fantastic experience from beginning to end and we are looking at their other properties because we trust them so much! Thank you thank you!!

This was a real treat!

This was a real treat. Jose and Jennifer are amazing hosts and this is the nicest and cleanest beach house we have ever stayed in the OBX. My wife fell in love with it as soon as we pulled up, she was hoping it was the prettiest house on the court, and it was. The renovations are amazing, the 2 King master en-suite bedrooms and spa like bathrooms were a nice surprise and super sharp. We used the jacuzzi one night and it was really awesome! The large family room with all new furniture was super comfy, the little touches like the dimmers and perfect decor made it feel really cozy here. The open concept was great since the large kitchen had everything and was easy to cater to our family and friends with the large table. Tons of decks, even outside of the kids room created some privacy. The beach is just across the street and it was super easy and safe to cross right at the corner and walk into the beach. Our kids took full advantage of the new arcade with like 400 games and we played foosball and watched some basketball...The Wi-Fi was super fast. This house is perfectly situated with close access to stores and restaurants, we walked one night to the Mexican place about 2 blocks from the house, they were very friendly and the food was amazing...We were very happy during our stay and sad to leave but we are going to rebook for the summer :)

Beautiful place, very clean and spacious! Super friendly hosts! Highly recommend!

The Whale House was a beautiful place…. Very clean , spacious, updated and had everything you could need or ask for . We loved how close to the beach it was . It was nice being right beside the pool as well . Awesome private hut tub and the beach gear they have like the chairs bikes and more was a great perk . Jennifer & Jose are super friendly and very responsive they have definitely gone above and beyond on this house . Would highly recommend.

Lovely last-minute Memorial Day Weekend, communicative hosts, wonderful stay!

We had a lovely stay for a last-minute Memorial Day weekend at the OBX in this rental. The hosts were communicative, helpful, friendly and provided so many nice extra touches for their guests. The home was wonderfully decorated, steps from the pool and the beach, and had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. Would recommend staying at this rental to anyone looking for a lovely home with ample indoor and outdoor space that is close to so many of the OBX's best restaurants and activities!

Our group had a wonderful time during our stay. Plenty of room for everyone and easy access to the beach and local activities. There is a public beach access with parking lot right across the street, which makes it nice to load/unload for families with kids.

Terrific location. Clean, and large house!

We really enjoyed our stay. Terrific location. House is large, very clean, the kitchen had everything you could think of. Outdoor shower and beach chairs were a nice amenity. Very good communication with our hosts.
