Christmas at OBX 2024

Really nice property. Minor upgrades needed on the inside. There were no trash bags nor air fryer. Recommend bringing items with such as toilet paper, trash bags and dish detergent. Overall great stay!

Home had plenty of space for adults and kids. The kitchen was very well furnished. Need to add an Air Fryer. May want to consider replacing the stools at counter [very noisey]. Distance to beach was perfect. We enjoyed our stay.

The best Thanksgiving Week with family

We had the best time. Had lots of space and even cooked a delicious traditional Thanksgiving meal. The perfect kitchen. And enough seating for everyone comfortably! We had everything we needed. Short easy walk to the beach access even with kids in tow, or you could drive if you were hauling a lot of beach things. So blessed and thankful to of found a place for us all to gather. The hot tub was awesome also even when it was cold out. We also went fishing at Janette’s pier which is right down the road. And the outlets as well as grocery store isn’t far either. I recommend trying Bros at the Outlet mall. It so good and they have it ready for you quick! The NC Aquarium was a favorite also it’s not a long drive either! All in all this was the best family trip so far!

Disappointed

We had originally planned on staying in Nagshead, but at the last minute we removed due to a water main break, which we understand is out of anyone’s control. However, when we arrived at the property, we were unable to get in which resulted in a quick response from the rental agency. Once inside, we were unable to get the house heated. The house remained in the 50s the first night we were there. Again, the rental company was extremely helpful, however, a box of duck donuts in exchange for a cold home for the majority of our stay is not what we planned for.Staying in a different area than expected was an adjustment to our plans and the lack of heat for the first part of our stay was definitely disappointing. Again, the rental company was great to work with and fast to respond, but honestly, our expectations for the property were not met.
