This three bedroom, two bath oceanside home is bursting with charm and personality. Colorful with a "nautical" theme decor, the Happy Parrot boasts an open common living space that includes a full kitchen with a seated bar, a separate dining area, and a comfortable family room with a large television. Adjacent to this area is a beautiful sunroom, well-appointed for you to enjoy a quiet place with your morning coffee or simply as a respite from the day's activities. Separate bedrooms and bathrooms provide comfort and privacy during your stay.

South Nags Head is one of the most popular vacation areas on the Outer Banks. The area is known for its natural beauty; exceptional fishing; quaint, small town atmosphere; convenience to dining and shopping; and the many historical spots waiting to be discovered. Gorgeous uncrowded beaches and 6+ miles of bike/walking/jogging trails also help make South Nags Head a popular destination for travelers.

Other nearby attractions include the town of Manteo, where you'll find the Roanoke Island Festival Park, North Carolina Aquarium, Elizabethan Gardens, The Lost Colony Waterside Theater, and Manteo Waterfront Shopping District. Happy Parrot Review

This house was a nice location with a short walk to the beach. A quick drive to shopping and restaurants. Beach equipment needs updated. Chairs were old and some broke on us. There was no beach umbrella. It had a nice collection of sand toys and shovels along with a wagon to carry your gear. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Easy and Convenient

Great set up for a multigenerational getaway and easy access to the beach, which was the whole purpose of our visit. But also a convenient location to get up to the dunes or to many of the local spots for BBQ or steamed shrimp. Had some issues during check in and once during the stay and the management company was very responsive, apologetic, and helpful. Could have been cleaner, but we made it work.

Cute place but it shows age and has an ant problem

Cute place. It has 3 good sized bedrooms, provides beach toys and gear, and is walkable to the beach (about 7 minutes). Having a washer dryer and outdoor shower was also plus. It’s also a short drive from many local attractions. Unfortunately, it is outdated and not the cleanest. The appliances are older and the carpet and sofa show a lot of wear. There’s a serious ant problem in the kitchen and the ant traps we bought did not help. This made us feel uncomfortable whenever it came time to prep food or cook. The carpet and sheets were not very clean when we arrived, and it seems they rely on guests to do a lot of cleaning before check out (including cleaning dishes, counters, vacuuming, sweeping). Maybe the cleaning crew then skips those tasks? We were also surprised to learn that they don’t provide toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels, cleaning products, and other basics that you expect to find at a vrbo rental. The listing should say that upfront. Interestingly, there was aluminum foil, plastic wrap, sandwich bags and paper plates, which is we found super useful. Overall, our stay was ok, but we would not go back unfortunately.

Precious Memories with Family

This house is filled with sunshine, cheerful and calming colors, and a simple, breezy beaxh house decor. The beach is only a short few minute walk away:)! There is so much room in this home and everything was so clean. The living room has VERY comfy couches and each of the bedrooms are cozy and beautiful. The kitchen is fully stocked, and the fridge has a decent amount of room! Both bathrooms were meticulously clean, and the master bathroom with the walk in shower was so nice! The outdoor shower is below deck, and is large and has hot water, and the adjacent laundry room has beach games and a wagon for easy transport. The rental company made check in easy, and they provided some additional things like toilet paper, dish washer detergent, and laundry soap. our family is looking forward to staying here again:)!

Great place at the beach!

We loved staying at this little beach cottage. Check in was a bit difficult, as you have to drive a long way to get the code for the door (if you're driving in from the south). Otherwise, the property was clean, everything was in working order with the exception of the DVD player in the living room. Beds were comfy, but were a bit squeaky. Neighborhood was very friendly and you're within walking distance to a great little restaurant on the water. If we return to Nags Head, we would like to stay here again.

The property was very clean and open. We liked the living space/kitchen and breakfast are.

The house was in a great location, just a block from the ocean. The open concept was great! We loved the ceiling fans in every room and the outdoor shower. There were a few issues but this happened at the end and the management company was looking into fixing them. Like toaster and a broken stair board. Overall we had a great week and would come here again.

Inexpensive summer getaway

This was perfect for our family of 6! This property is very close to public beach access and the Fishheads pier. The house is adorable and well-stacked. I would strongly recommend this house for families.

The check in location was quite a distance away for a code entry. House was great. Previous renters left quite a mess so some inconvenience to us. I had to rewash pans do to food left in them in cabinets. Which in turn left an ant issue. Otherwise enjoyed the very comfortable home. Great location to south. Would definitely stay here again.
