Ian and Hillary, the hosts, run a first-class operation! The accommodations were spotless, and the breakfasts were superb. Just a nice, quiet place to relax. For a staff of three people running this B&B, they put many other "4-star" hotels we have stayed at, with large staff and budgets, to shame. We WILL be back next trip to Scotland!

B & B near Nairn

The building itself is very impressive up a long drive, and quite an imposing building. We were travelling from Inverness during the evening rush hour and missed the turn off to the right so be warned! Ian, our host was at the door to welcome us and was very friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious and grand, with a sumptuous bed, very modern bathroom with shower and a lovely outlook over the extensive garden. Ian told us that the wifi was not good but, in fact, we had good connection. We drove into town for dinner (around 6/7 minutes), parked in the Co-op car park which was central to the town and went to eat in The Class Room, which was one of 4 restaurants recommended by Ian. Breakfast in the morning was very satisfying, with a selection of juices, cereals, breads, and a full Scottish Breakfast. All in all, a very enjoyable stay.

Carnach house is a wonderful property In immaculate surroundings. The room was stunning, absolutely immaculate with the highest quality bedding and towels. The hosts were wonderful, and extremely helpful. Now..the breakfast.. the best I have had in a long while. Quite honestly could not find fault here.

Superb house and delightful, tastefully furnished room with large, well equipped bathroom. The hosts were friendly, most welcoming and professional. In this case, the attribute outstanding is well deserved. If the best accolade for a hospitality venue is to see customers coming back, we certainly intend to do that.

This was one of the nicest bed and breakfasts that we stayed in! Lots of attention to detail--beautifully restored rooms, candles and matches by the beautiful bathtub, and high quality and fluffy bath sheets. Breakfast was delicious, and Ian and Hilary were excellent hosts. Ian booked us dinner reservations, and Hilary cooked breakfast and told us all about their story. Highly recommend this place. Stay more than one night, though. We wished we had stayed longer here. There's lot to see and do nearby. Definitely would like to return.

Endroit magnifique, très bien entretenu. Petits-dejeuners délicieux. Nous avons adoré les hôtes de cet hébergement qui nous ont accueillis avec beaucoup de chaleur. Nous avons eu la chance de passer une soirée avec eux et nous en garderons de très beaux souvenirs. Notre chambre était impeccable, très confortable et lumineuse. L’endroit sent bon et est situé en pleine nature, à proximité de plusieurs attractions. Nous recommandons très fortement et nous y retournerons. Le décor a cette magie Écossaise que nous recherchions.
