Good place to stay if you are looking to walk Adam's Peak. Ayos Hill is a few km outside of Dalhousie (the starting point) - but this was an advantage as Dalhousie is not great. The guest house gives you a lift to the start and collects you in the morning. Firstly, the 2 upper rooms, were much much nicer than those on the bottom floor (which were very dark and unappealing). The room was basic but comfortable. Modern bathroom with hot water. Comfortable bed, Food good value for money and tasty. Nice view from dining room and top terrace overlooking the lake. Slight negatives - can be noisy. Staff were willing but struggled with English. Food service was very slow and often muddled. It was weird that we were given clean blankets for the bed but no top sheet. Overall it was a positive experience - and the Adam's Peak walk was amazing. Just remember is it a guest house - and do not expect hotel level service.
