Perfect house for family of 6

We loved this property. Could not beat these views! Enjoyed sitting on the back patio every night. We saw orcas and seals!! Beds were comfy and kitchen had all the essentials. We plan to rent again.

An amazing stay in an amazing place

We had a simply brilliant 4 night stay in this lovely house, which was the highlight of our 2 week road trip. Apart from a whale watching trip (also recommended) we barely left the house, which has all mod cons. We saw a family of sea otters swim by one evening, then met a deer and her fawn. And also a bald eagle. There was good rock pooling at low tide, and we had many swims off the rocks, followed by the hot tub. We made use of the fishing rod and caught a couple of rockfish.A fabulous stay, and hopefully we’ll be back some day!

Fantastic Amazing Beautiful

I stayed here with my family of five with college age kids for four days in July. The house is beautiful modern and comfortable. The view is hard to describe how beautiful it is. We enjoyed kayaking, hiking the property and eating at local restaurants. The seals and the family of deer that visited daily were an added bonus

Paradise In Nanoose Bay!

If you want peace and quiet! If you enjoy nature, bald eagles, deer with baby fawns, trails to hike, incredible views of the ocean, then this is the rental for you. A stunning home with views out of every window of the ocean! Incredible sunsets! Surrounded by incredible forest, very private. You will love this beautiful home and want to return often!

Stunning 13 acre property right on the water with amazing trails and vista's right outside the house; which had magnificent water views. House was exceptionally nice and had everything we needed. Would definitely return

Heaven on earth

My husband, two adult daughters and in-laws stayed for our Spring Break. I never wanted to leave the property. I woke every morning and watched the sunrise and every evening the sunset. The sea lions and otters swam back and forth all day. There was a doe and a fawn that seemed to live in the woods nearby and the eagles were teaching their young to fly. Staying here was healing. We live in the states but I sure do hope to make it back some day! :)

Heaven on earth

We spent five days at this home on our round trip tour of Vancouver Island and Whistler. This couldn't have been a more relaxing and enjoyable spot. The house blends in with the nature around it perfectly. Inside, windows abound and there is not a bad view to be had. There are creature comforts like games and puzzles, warm blankets, a toasty fireplace, and binoculars to spot orcas/whales/bald eagles. We had otter friends and deer visit each morning and a seal float by each evening looking for dinner. Great restaurants around the area including the Blackbird Schnitzelhaus in Qualicum. Took a long day trip to Tofino which was a beautiful drive. Planned our whole trip around this one house and have already recommended it to countless others. A 5 star gem!

Incredible Family Vacation! Highly Recommend this House.

Similar to previous reviews, our family had an amazing vacation. Our family lives in Minnesota, so the notion of tides and sea-life was an obsession for our children (12 & 10 years old) - each low tide the kids would wander down on the rocks to look at the stat fish and hermit crabs. And with high tide we just waited for the Sea Lions to come in. I think my husband an children spent at least 5 hours a day on the hot tub enjoying the scenery. There are also some trails on the property that we were able to explore on. Really quality family time. Each day we ventured out to a Provincial Park for a few hours and then headed home. There are so many sights to see within a 60 minute drive. Although we could have stayed out all day in the parks, the kids wanted to get back to the house to relax and hang out (and that never happens). Amenities: The house really is equipped with everything. There are lots of spices in the kitchen; each family has contributed it seems. It was easy to get to Netflix and Amazon Video at night to watch movies - we brought our gaming system to plug into the TV as well. There is a gas grill now. Advice: Bring Beach Towels and a Small Cooler. If you like large bath towels, pack those as well.

Better than I could have ever imagined!

I rented the home for 3 weeks, inviting family and close friends to come experience Nanoose Bay with me. Being in the area brought back so many memories of my time on the island with my husband. I enjoyed sharing these with my family. The sunrises and sunsets are as beautiful as I recall. The frequent visits from the deer and fawns were such treats, as were watching the bald eagles, boats and cruise ships go by. We spent countless hours sitting with the binoculars in hand as we gazed out to the ocean, looking for the slightest movement of fish jumping, otters peeking above the water, and the occasional kayakers. The home was better than you could begin to imagine. Every kitchen gadget need was easily located, the kitchen furnished with so many items you may need during your stay. The beds were comfortable, and I highly suggest you sleep with the windows open to enjoy the ocean waves crashing against the rocks as you drift off to sleep. Communication with Kyle was very easy. He was responsive, patient and kind as I navigated the modern gate, Wi-Fi and tv remotes! Kyle was quick to respond and address every need this old lady had, from my inability to find the gate box (the one I passed heading to the gate) to not knowing I needed to unplug at the wall instead of the router for the Wi-Fi. Kyle was very patient as he talked me through these steps. We thoroughly enjoyed the slice of paradise Kyle has chosen to share with us, in fact, I’ve booked 3 weeks again next year.

Absolutely gorgeous house and property. The 180 degree view was amazing and I was hard pressed to ever want to go inside the house! The sunsets…. The house is lovely and very comfortable. We had ourselves and my in laws and very comfortable with 2 bedrooms with ensuites on opposite sides of the house. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook there our entire stay. Do not miss an evening dip in the hot tub looking out at the ocean.

Great Location. Spectacular Views.

Property was perfect. Location was relaxing and quiet with frequent visits from the local wildlife. Beautiful views from every window. Cruise ships, tug boats, kayakers, fishing vessels and more...time is easily spent just watching the sea.

Amazing!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house. So much wildlife to see and great paths on the property to explore. We spent morning hours on the deck reading or doing yoga in the sun. After a day of activity the hot tub was divine! We hope one day we will be able to return again, it was one of the best places I have ever stayed at!

Absolutely Picturesque Property!

I can’t imagine a more perfect way to experience the Vancouver Island coast... this house has amazing ocean views on 3 sides! We saw wildlife regularly, from otters and seals to deer around the property, even from the perfectly-situated hot tub. It’s easy to explore tide pools at the shore, or walk the trails alomg the coast, too.The house is stocked very well, and has a modern feel with plenty of room... We’ve rented dozens of houses around N America, and this was likely our favorite ever!

The property is lovely. The location has the most beautiful views, right on the water and it just allows you to relax. The house itself has a great layout for families and friends who want to spend time together while providing spaces for those who need privacy.

Beautiful Home and Location - Well worth the splurge

I fell in love with this property from the moment I saw the listing, but it was quite a bit more expensive than we usually spend on accommodations. We decided to splurge and we are so glad we did! The home is everything we hoped for. From the minute the gate opened and we drove onto the property, we knew we were in a special place. We drove through a lovely bit of forest to the house right on the ocean. The house is beautifully decorated and furnished, the kitchen is well stocked, beds and linens are comfortable and the views throughout the house are breathtaking! We were out and about everyday, but looked forward to getting back to the house to watch seals/sea lions swim by and bald eagles soar through the sky. We even had a darling little fawn visit us one morning! Our host Kyle was great at communicating and very available to answer our questions and make suggestions on our adventures and dining out. One thing I wish we had done sooner is explore the beautiful trails throughout the community. We didn't do that until our last day and were astounded by the well maintained and marked trails that led us through forests, along the coastline and through beautiful meadows. Vancouver Island itself is astoundingly beautiful, very accessible and full of friendly Canadians! Highly recommend a visit to this heavenly home!
