"Curry (now Half Dome) village is an unpretentious base for walking in Yosemite Valley. It is right on the spot for early starts, and the simple cabins (I was in a tent cabin) avoid the need for camping equipment. Facilities on site are well run and just what is needed. The communal dining hall is very good, reasonably priced, and has a nice atmosphere in the evening. The pool has stunning views straight up to Glacier Point, and with the adjacent shower block is very welcome at the end of a hot...

"We have stayed here many times and always worth the visit!
Considering how big the place is, the rooms are relatively quiet and the hotel is quiet.
Rooms are clean and the kitchenette is awesome for preparing breakfast/light dinner. The store sells things you may have forgotten (like butter or milk) My only complaint was they give you soap, one towel and NO potholders for cooking (bring your own?)
You can buy items for s’mores and ask them to turn in the fire pit near the playground. There is one indoor pool with hot tub outside.
we visited in spring and the snow melt was happening with the river rushing and - totally quiet in the room. Really impressive considering the noise.

"I mean I realize it’s in the middle of the woods, so keep that in mind. My son woke up to a giant bug crawling on him. It bit him in the night, which meant we got to sleep 3 in our Double bed. lol. I realize there is no place else to really stay in the valley so you’re kinda stuck with it. There’s no AC and it was freaking HOT in our cabin! The restaurant and gift shop were nice to have, but be prepared because they price gauge the heck out of ya. It would be nice if they at least offered a couple bottles of water when you check in. Mediocre cleanliness is to be expected in the woods I guess and can’t comment on the pool as it was closed despite being 80 degrees. "
"Do not stay here. From the time we checked in and checked out there were issues. First was that we had to wait for the room to be ready, and in order to get wifi needed the room number that they 'didn't know yet.' The hotel was not full but we could not book a different room with one bed rather than two. The worker that rolled our luggage in told us that it was at half capacity. Instructions for the hotel were given in rapid speed so it was hard to keep up. Once we checked in, the room was in poor condition, bugs in the bathroom, hot with air conditioning not working as 'the hotel only had heat right now' and it was 85 degrees out! We asked for an extension cord for our fan, they did not get back to us. The worse thing was trying to eat. The food at the bar was not sufficient and not open at times such as breakfast. We could not eat at a buffet that was nearly EMPTY since 'five staff had called out' and we needed a reservation and they were booked. What??!! For 800 a night there is an expectation of trying to make it work out. Like hey grab a plate, we won't be able to get you a drink or something. Not sorry! No food right before hiking. The staff is RUDE! The location is great but we should have stayed in a tent. We would have been treated better. This was also our anniversary weekend. We tried to enjoy our time the best we could but this was unacceptable. Elevator broken, no food available, nothing offered, no AC, dirty room, no bike rental, no room service since 2019. "

10/10 Excellent
"Exceptional on all fronts! The price was so reasonable for being inside the park, and Vonnie was hands down the absolute best host I have ever met. Thank you so much for the accommodations, if I’m ever back in that area I’ll be happy to stay again."
