“This is the third time we've stayed at this charming cabin with our dog. The location is great, a walk to Chimney Rock and a short drive to Asheville. The stone steps would not be good for someone unsure of their footing. The cabin is well laid out so it feels roomy and always spotlessly clean. There are two ample screened porches, front and back, so pup has a lot of room to roam around. Definitely recommend.”

“My friend and I had a great time away from the hustle of city life. But your just minutes away from stores or Lake Lure. We enjoyed sitting out on the wrap around porch.”

“I read all the reviews for this cabin and it was exactly as described. Very private and quiet. My husband, myself and our dog enjoyed ourselves very much. I was a little worried about the bathroom because of some of the reviews but we had no complaints at all. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We had a dozen deer come up graze one evening and it was a special treat for us. Kate communicated with us through out our trip and answered all our questions very……

“We had an absolute blast at Piney Knob cabin! The location was perfect. It was secluded and quiet and very peaceful. Even got some fishing done! The cabin was super clean and nice! Easy check in and check out process! We will definitely be returning in the future!”

“My husband and I haven’t had an alone vacation in 10 yrs. The cabin is beyond adorable and they had anything we could hane possibly needed there. The town is also very charming we spent most of the first day visiting the local shops - if you’re going to the area stay here!! Especially if it’s a multi day trip- the courtyard is very easily navigated and so comfy. This did not disappoint”

“Cleverly decorated cabin with lots of fun features to catch your eye and give you pause. The cabin is well appointed and such a pleasure to stay in that we hated to leave. Melissa was very friendly and quick to respond to our questions. We really enjoyed this rental.”

“It was a wonderful cabin in the woods. Super quaint and super clean. We'd definitely recommend and we will return. The only thing that was a small problem was, it is pet friendly BIT there is really nowhere much to walk your dog (at least where we were).”

“This place is beautiful! The quality is impeccable. Amenities abound! Cooking utensils, grill, coffee pot, linens, wireless, all there. We enjoyed ourselves so much! The owners communicated clearly and provided excellent directions, instructions, and contact information. They also had light switches and fab switches labeled which was fantastic and so user friendly. The nest ac worked beautifully. The ONLY negative is they truly need to replace the oversized, for children only bunk beds……

“Overall, nice cabin. Back deck had a few boards that felt spongy when stepped on. Fridge/freezer stank, couldn't put any food in them. Tub had a white substance in it, ran water but didn't get in, water was milky with what looked like calcium from the jets. I really wanted to use it, was main reason I picked this cabin. Bed was amazing.”

“Had a great few days going to the Marion NC Bigfoot Festival. Cabin was a jewel in the woods. A lovely stream flows past property with such a peaceful setting. Enjoyed a comfortable clean and very well equipped home. The back porch is perfect place to grill and relax with morning coffee. Everything you’ll need for a mountain get away. Only hiccup is as check in. Not host fault or ours—- Vrbo software had messed up our phone number. Corrected after a few extra miles driving to get better cell……

“We enjoyed the property and found it quite comfortable and cute. The water pressure was not good but we kind of expected that. The biggest issue was the # of mosquitos - even with bug spray on they were relentless so it lessened out time outdoors. We also had difficulty finding Pilot Ridge Rd. The sign is visible from one direction but not the other.”

“We had a wonderful stay at Lake Lure and enjoyed the condo. It is well stocked with everything you need. It is a short drive to the Lake and all the amenities at Rumbling Bald including the indoor pool, mini golf, hot tub and good food at Legends. We used the condo as a home base to go climb Chimney Rock and see Asheville. We had great communication with the owner and a neighbor who helped take care of things. It was a great getaway and recommend it.”
