Guttenberg is also a great location to stay and explore other areas like Dyersville, McGregor, Davenport and Prarie du Chien. We loved the hot tub. It was in a nice location. “Had several options for fun things to do close by. Place was spotless! ONLY complaint (that can't be controlled by the owners anyway) is the train tracks. We decided to stay here even knowing about the tracks but unfortunately we learned we're not the people to sleep through them! Beds were very comfortable and had no problems with cooking all weekend.”

“Love the refurbished look of this home decorated for fall.The kitchen is a dream! They provide every amenity you can possibly think of. The Teflon coating on the pan for boiling was peeling off and unusable. We did find one at Dollar General that we donated. We bought our food at DG and the grocery store which was cheaper than our Sunshine store back home. There are 4 queen beds, so sleeping was comfortable. “It was a great getaway. The trains are actually fun to watch. I wish my 5 year old was with us. He would have love the trains. House was well stocked and clean. Plenty of room. The river was beautiful. Overall great place.”

“We were looking for a quiet weekend and this place was just that. The cabin has great natural light, we loved having the wood burning stove, and it was fun to observe all the wood elements inside. Stocked in the kitchen was coffee and sugar. Outside, the porch/carport is a nice place to sit during the day and the area was great for walks. We did not have cell service at the cabin and the wifi signal was weak, not pertinent to the experience, just something to be aware of. The laundry machines……
