Pros: We found this apartment a year or so ago but it was unavailable to rent. I'm glad we persisted and looked again for 2015.
It's in a great quiet location (for a town) and has an unmissable view. It's a one minute walk to a beach, less than 10 minutes to the Burriana Beach, five-ish into Nerja and the Balcon.
The owner, Fernando, has to be one of the most welcoming hosts ever. Nothing was too much trouble and he offered virtual constant communication via Whatsapp to help sort any (minor) problems we had.
The apartment itself is well laid out, clean, fresh and to a good standard. The master bedroom bed is great but the twin beds are firm. Having two bathrooms is perfect and with the washing machine and tumble dryer packing can be cut down.
Restaurants and bars are close to hand, but far enough away to not cause any disturbance. There are a couple of bakeries to hand too.
The pool has to be the best ever, possibly because it was impeccably clean but also because it was akin to a bath.
The wifi and AppleTV/projector/drop down screen combo was perfect. Out for an evening, back late and then watch a movie before bed.
One tip. While there is parking onsite and on the side streets, I'd strongly suggest paying for a space in the car park 200m away. Why? The locals park 'by bumper' and leave impossibly tight gaps between cars. If you want to lose an excess on a hire car then by all means take a chance but the car park is big and offers plenty of space. Buy a 15 day ticket for best value. It's not overly cheap but it's peace of mind and stress free - but that's towns for you.
All in all, the apartment is one I'd happily rent again. Thank you Fernando.
