「Room was clean room and Staff very hospitable and a Business-friendly environment although location is a bit off road but accessible. Will patronize again when going to Scotland」

「We stayed just the one night. The staff were very friendly and eager to provide good service. We enjoyed a pleasant drink on the lovely patio overlooking the river followed by a tasty meal in the bar. Breakfast was excellent . Our room was fairly basic with quite a small ensuite . The WiFi was good. We were pleased with our stay which represented good value.」

「Unfortunately another disappointing night at the Inn. Went for a meal, again staffing issues with chefs resulting in quite a few things not being available. I thought there was a wedding function going on as every now and then loud music would blast through the restaurant area but it was just the music coming from the kitchen area as the doors swung open and closed. Sadly in need of a makeover.」

The staff went above and beyond to be helpful, although they often had to juggle multiple roles at once, which sometimes made them difficult to find. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay, and if I return to Castle Douglas, I would happily stay here again.」

Once we discovered the error we have another 1 hour 15 minute ride to “hotel”. Upon arriving, key was in lockbox, room was large but beds were from the 19th century, incredibly...

「Property located in peaceful location. Not much in the walking distance. You can walk to local pub in about 25 minutes. We drove everywhere. Very nice beach in 6 minutes drive. 」
