The bathtub was luxurious, the views of bald eagles hovering over the Mississippi River was very neat, and enjoying the heated fireplace with some homemade treats rounded out a very relaxing weekend. The owners were also very quick to communicate and friendly when any questions came about. I already plan to come back for a girls weekend in the spring or fall!」

The area is really quiet, and outside from the Pinckney Bend Distillery there are not many activities you can do in the area. It does serve well as a place where you can easily go to Hermann or Washington (about 20 mins driving distance).」

Slept amazingly well - as we were there to deal with family issues...both my husbands and my scores on our fitbits were quite high. Decorated very nicely and fits the definition of a cottage. 「It was indeed a nice place to stay. During our stay, it was rainy and cool, which we really loved (much better than scorching hot). As a down side, we could not use the grill due to the rain. The cabin is really where you can cool off and get away. The pictures are accurate. The host was also very responsive, so we never felt left on our own. I wish the dogs (likely the host's dogs) would let our cat enjoy the deck a little more though. The poor guy didn't get a chance to relax! All in all,...

「Rustic, spacious, good outdoor areas, peaceful private lake, well equipped. Nearby neighbors but not intrusive. Had weather cooperated better it would have been an ideal setting for our retreat.」
