Excellent Inn. I stayed on my way over to Calais. I had the Single room. Very need and tidy. Recently updated room I’d say. Excellent bed and neat bathroom. I really liked the old charm of the building, nice little doors to the rooms. Very nice bar downstairs with lots of nice places to sit inside and outside. Pleasant atmosphere all round. The breakfast is fantastic and likewise the staff are wonderful.

Nice place to stay for the price, recommended!

Nice place, friendly staff. Had to mind my head, being 6ft 4, and the ceilings...weren't! Room was small, but functional, and very clean and tidy. Overall a nice place for the cost.

Comfortable stay and excellent food

Great food and lovely friendly staff. Slightly noisy plumbing but it goes well with the old world charm of the hotel. I'd be very happy to stay again if I'm in the area.

This was good value in comparison to prices elsewhere and included breakfast. I took a single room and bed was comfortable and linen etc very clean. Staff very friendly. I have to go back to the area and would definitely stay there again. The menu was good as was the food .Very reasonable deal! Traffic a bit noisy in the morning as on a main road .

Noisy saniflos

The worst night sleep ever the sound of saniflo all through the night .we traveled 3 hours had a very busy day needed a good nights sleep which we didn't get

Had all the facilities for the purpose of stay. The room was in the attic and very hot. At the front of the building is a busy main road which kept us awake with the windows needing to be open.

The staff and the food, evening meal and breakfast were fantastic. The room could have been cleaner. The bathroom is ready for an update. The television was difficult to watch as it kept losing signal.

Pros - clean, comfortable room, though on the small side. Good food, friendly and efficient evening staff. Convenient location. Cons - windows in room didn't close fully or lock at all. Breakfast staff inattentive. No fresh fruit for breakfast, cooked breakfast was good though didn't always get the eggs we asked for. Had to ask for for bread/toast and for another cup of coffee. Didn't like the fact we weren't offered and had to keep asking.

Nice pub/hotel. The food was acceptable but I was not happy with the liver and bacon dish I ordered - the liver had the texture of 'vulcanised rubber' and the cook added far too much salt as was done on my breakfast dish.

Ziet er leuk en gezellig uit met goede medewerkers

Hotel, bar en buitenterras zagen er op begane grond gezellig en leuk uit. Buitenterras mag wel een keer aangeveegd worden. Eten vonden wij gemiddeld.

Small single room clean and adequate for my overnight stay. Room faced the street which had a lot of traffic noise but that died down after 10.00. Bathroom including shower was very good. Breakfast and service , good.
