“Fantastic location. Ideal for what we needed but also really rural-feeling and peaceful. We found it quiet and charming. We enjoyed wandering in amongst the old orchard and down through the copse, across the scrubland that forms part of the floodplain of the Tyne. It was good to know there are badgers around although we weren’t lucky enough to see anyway. The dawn chorus was impressive. Very pleasant indeed. “This was, by far the worst place we have ever rented and we have rented a lot of places. It was filthy. There were mouse droppings in the kitchen cupboards and in the one small pot and one small pan we were to used for cooking (believe me there was no cooking done in them!) there was a dirty pizza encrusted pan in the oven. “We had a lovely stay in this apartment, very clean and well equipped. We will definitely be back. It’s very well placed for visiting Hadrians Wall. We travelled by train and found the bus service more than adequate for our needs. The bus stop is outside the apartment. Also there is a range of shops and eateries.
