“Amazing”

“This is a boutique hotel in an older building. There is a certain charm with the architecture and the high ceilings; however, with an older building there is poor sound-proofing (we heard every step the upstairs guests made). Our room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The room needed a deep clean as there were dust-bunnies under the chairs and in the corners. The hard surface floors are great but were not very clean when we arrived. There was grit and fingernail clippings that did……

“Lovely location, right on the East Coast Trail. Easy to find. Sauna was wonderful. Room was great - cooking facilities were nice to reduce eating out costs. Could hear people in adjacent rooms (just everyday noises, they were not being particularly noisy/partying).”

“The location was great and rooms were clean. Didn't like sharing a bathroom. When I booked I read private bathroom for basic room. The people we shared bathroom with were unaware as well. There is more than one basic room type....just beware when you book.”

“This is the most unique place I have stayed. What a beautiful old house, full of history. Bill was a welcoming host, there wad everything needed for a continental breakfast and tea and coffee at any time. The location in downtown St. John's was perfect for hiking to Signal Hill and around the Batteries. There are many close by places to eat. The bed was very comfortable.”
