One bedroom two bath beach house over looking the ocean.

"Everything you need for a stay away from home. The home is very well-provisioned with 2 lovely bathrooms/tubs/showers, washer and dryer and everything you need to make a meal. Even with the weather turning windy and rainy, we were cozy and warm with the tv and little fireplace. Great location directly on the harbour and a short walk of about 15 minutes to the Twine Loft for dinner. We would recommend highly!!"

"Such a cute house in a beautiful town! As soon as we walked in we felt at home. It was extremely comfortable with fantastic views towards the lake. Private & peaceful highly recommend!"

"The room provided us with a stay for two nights. It was comfortable, could have used a few more blankets on the bed as what was there was not quite adequate. Unfortunately the restaurant that was beside the motel had closed 12 days earlier, it would have been nice if this had been updated on the Expedia site. That meant that we had to drive at least twenty minutes to the next town to eat."

"My granddaughter and I stayed here for 2 nights. We really loved it! Though we had some trouble with reception in the general area we thought our stay was fantastic. We were screeched in by the local community and that was one of the very best experiences of our entire Newfoundland trip! This tiny community is really the greatest example Of a traditional friendly Newfoundland fishing village! The little shop next to Johnny’s place had fantastic prices and the aquarium was very educational and enjoyable. The Fox Island trail head is only steps away from the boat house. We enjoyed sitting on the boathouse deck and watching the jelly fish and crabs zipping about in The water. The boat house was comfortable and enjoyable but we left wondering if possibly it’s haunted. The doors were opening and shutting on their own a lot when we first arrived and there was pounding on the walls - sort of like aggressive knocking. The boat house is on stilts so even if someone had been around - which no one was- they would not have been able to reach the walls of the boathouse. After we were screeched in by the locals, however,the doors and knocking on the walls stopped! Perhaps we have big imaginations and assigned a ghost to some non ghostly occurrences BUT we left with a good story to tell and after doing a bit of research we added the dead man’s pond of Fox island to our wonderful ghost story. Of all of our stays in Newfoundland, the tickle cove boat house became our most memorable !"

"What a wonderful stay! First off, the communication was excellent. Secondly, the apartment was so warm and welcoming - beautifully decorated with many special touches that made it feel so homey. The kitchen was fully equipped. We appreciated the many "little things" eg. the homemade muffins, the packages of hot chocolate and ingredients for smores. There was tea, coffee, condimentsand so many other items if people needed them. We also enjoyed playing one of the games from the vast selection. Lisa and Scott have thought of everything and more to help people feel at home here and we certainly did. We can't say enough good things about our stay here! We highly recommend staying here!"

"Quiet, clean, comfortable and private home with all modern amenities including laundry. Beautiful views of the cove, safe walking through the field to get to the beach, fresh blueberries and raspberries to pick each morning. A few trails to walk around and explore. Friendly neighbors/locals to meet and converse with. Made our way to Bonavista and Trinity during the days for sightseeing and hiking but we're happy to return to this retreat."
