“1. The cabin was awesome. It was spotless, had literally everything we needed plus more, had comfortable mattresses (very important for my back), was exactly as described, and was beautiful. “Our 4 night stay was wonderful, the inside has been recently renovated albeit it looks like some work is still being done in certain areas. It certainly did not deter from the overall experience and the owners have done a great job with the improvements thus far. The kitchen is amazing for cooking and entertaining. The house has an in-line water heater which was nice! The location is 45 minutes from Winterplace ski resort and about a 15 min car ride to most retail restaurant establishments. ……

“My brother and I stayed here for a few days in the spring as a nice break from work and to get in some fishing. The cabin is equipped with everything you need whether it be a short or long stay. There are plenty of pots, pans, and cooking utensils. You have a full kitchen at your disposal with a good size dining table and there is also a washer/dryer if you need them. “This home is great for a peaceful get-away. With the exception of one other home nearby, it's almost on its own, so it's quiet enough to enjoy the sounds of nature. A short drive took us down through a neighborhood to sit by the lake. Back at the house, it was nice to end evenings watching the bright stars from the porch. Sherry was very responsive and friendly when we had questions.”

“We stayed at the cabin in Nov 2023. And had a wonderful time. What made the trip so memorable was getting recommendations from the owner Amy when she came to the cabin stoking the outside heater that piped in heat to cabin. Cannot over emphasize the need to do research on places to explore while there, because this cabin is in a very rural area. Amy's recommendations on where we should visit meant everything. Quiz her on that. I encouraged her to place in the cabin a list of Must See's / Must……

“The outdoor space on this property is stunning. There is a lot of outdoor space to entertain and the views are so pretty. Would be amazing for a summer party. The inside was very musty when we first got there and we had to go out and get candles to chase away the smell. By the next day it was pretty much gone so I’m thinking it just hadn’t been used in a while.”

“The home is on a finger of Claytor Lake, which was quiet and out of the wind. It is eclectic with kitchen on bottom level and living room area on the second level. You can access both levels independently from the driveway. Overall, comfortable for our needs given the weather wasn't great but we were in town for graduation.”
