Could do better
The villa is situated in a beautiful location. However the walk to the nearest shop is long and steep taking at least 30 minutes on the way down and goodness knows how long back. Definitely not for the faint hearted. Had to meet the key holder in a car park to hand over the deposit and rental fee for linen and towels. This felt very unprofessional and not very safe. We were given no instructions on how to access the property (there are 3 locks on the front door) The gate key is not on the same fob as the required keys to enter the property. This was very stressful when travelling alone and losing light. We paid the extra for bed linen and towels. None of the beds were made up. Having paid 5 per person for towels we expected more than one towel each. We could have purchased them for less. None of the bathrooms had hand towels provided, so hand washing meant using your only towel which also had to be used for the pool as well as showering. The downstairs bathroom has a tendency to flood as the shower head twists and turns when in use. We had informed them that we were bringing a baby but we had to go hunting into the garage for the highchair and cot which we then had to build. We were arriving late on the Saturday evening and were disappointed to find that not even basic provisions were provided. The option of a welcome pack should surely be offered with basics such as bread, milk, tea and coffee. The lack of air conditioning or even fans made night times stifling.
