"This is an absolutely beautiful villa and certainly has the wow factor. Cooking at night with an open view often included an amazing sunset, stars and the moon. The kitchen also has everything needed to cook a meal with a supply of basics ie oils , spices and herbs. There are no restaurants within walking distance so we tended to eat out for lunch and eat in at night. The pool was refreshingly cool, slightly colder than the sea temperature but not by too much. We took inflatable water chairs and enjoyed lounging about on hot days. The master bedroom has the most amazing view and is a good size with efficient air con. We didn’t sleep in the other bedrooms but they are a good size. The open plan living space is great with a large dining table and seating area. It’s only a few minutes in a car to Deshaise town that I loved. Even in low season a few cafe bars are open and 2 mini markets. A pretty place and really quiet in June. A couple of minutes drive to the Grande Anse beach which was beautiful and again very quiet with a few cafes open for lunch. We are at La Salamandre one day and it was excellent. We were lucky and had no mosquito problems, we did light a coil early evenings that worked a treat for the small amount that was there. The odd cockroach in the bathroom at night but only to be expected and certainly not an issue. I would definitely stay here again without hesitation."
