"Truly a once in a lifetime experience staying in this hotel. It is built around the rock face overlooking a lake and you really do feel entirely immersed in the nature. We had monkeys on our balcony as well as in the open corridors on the way to breakfast, we even saw a wild elephant on the island opposite from the lobby, it was incredible! There are also three pools to choose from, my favourite was the infinity one overlooking the lake which was the best view I have ever swam with. The location is great too as a base for the cultural triangle. We did lions rock and an elephant safari one day, on which we saw over 200 wild elephants. The next day we also did the Dambulla cave temple so you can do so much around this location. Wish we could have stayed for longer than the two nights we did to enjoy the hotel itself more as well as all the sites to see in the area. The room was comfortable and clean and the staff were always so helpful and welcoming. The food was amazing with so many choices for breakfast and in the buffet restaurant in the evening."

"We are a family of 6 stayed in 2 rooms for 2 nights in Habarana Lodge in July 2026. The property was absolutely fabulous, clean and safe. Staff are extremely helpful, courteous and professional. Our check in was easy, particularly Manike was very helpful. We enjoyed the swiming pool, tree house, butterfly garden, spice garden, clean walkways and lush trees of the property. The most amazing experience was the breakfast and dinner buffet. Chefs Nipun and Buddika are extremely talented, creative professional and attentive. Chefs went out of their way to create sweets and special ice cream selections for our children. Food selection at the buffet was amazing and authentic and delightful. Rooms are clean, spacious and amenities are excellent. We will definitely stay here in our next trip to Sri Lanka."

"I think not much items to select for the breakfast compared to other hotels, that's poor. I already told to the staff about that. , . and closing pool at 9pm is also not a good thing. we couldn't enjoy much . the staff is great, very helpful"

"Fantastic Modern Hotel with Unbeatable Value! The Room: Big, clean, and modern. If you book the Deluxe Ocean View, you can walk straight from your room to the beach. Dining & Service: Friendly staff and delicious food with a great variety of Continental and Sri Lankan dishes. Amenities: Lots to do on-site! There is a great spa (highly recommend the head massage), games room, badminton court, beach volleyball, and bike rentals. The Beach & Activities: The water was perfectly warm in July. The immediate beach has a lot of coral, but just to the left of the property is a gorgeous, sandy beach perfect for swimming. There are also plenty of water sports nearby (jet ski, banana boats, snorkeling, diving). The Verdict: I definitely recommend Amaya over the neighboring hotels. Great stay!"

"We were extremely happy with our 3 nights stay at Gabaa. Staff were superb. All the cabins were hidden amongst the nature, making it must more relaxing and enjoyable. Property was very quiet and had plenty of privacy. Hiruni and Eranda and also everyone else were always available and made our stay memorable. My kids didn’t want to leave the property. Rooms very spacious and AC was worked perfectly. We got some tea and food and they were authentic."
