“Pretty grim! Had to ask two people who were sitting on the steps to the hotel taking drugs to move when we left the hotel at 4pm and when we returned at midnight the centre of Doncaster’s drug scene seemed to be outside the hotel. Double bed tiny and up against wall so had to climb over each other to get out. Air con didn’t work. Very noisy location and room very basic”

“The staff at all levels were helpful & friendly. They resolved my late arrival without an issue & provided an excellent breakfast in the morning. It is a pity that the bar closes at 22:00 but that is my only concern.”

“I was only there to sleep, the bedding didn’t seem fresh as it smelt and the towels also didn’t feel like they were washed.. besides that it was decent”

“All the staff are all really friendly and helpful, they responded my email quickly before my stay. I was supposed to get a mail delivered at the hotel and they tried their best to keep looking for my mail. It was really helpful for them to do so. The hotel room is clean and spacious. The location of the hotel is good, supermarket is just next to it and town centre is within walking distance. I would recommend this hotel to all.”

“It was OK but I eneded up in hospital with breathing problems so didn't get the full affect”

“This venue has great potential and the new owner and team obviously have an exciting vision for the future. The hostess was exceptionally friendly and helpful and the breakfast (included) was very tasty. Attention to detail in the room could have been better. Carpet needed hoovering (and replacing) the bed hadn’t been made and although this was remedied, it looked thrown together. The loo seat was a bit ‘mobile’ and there was no hot water in the shower (apparently the boiler had tripped out).……

“The room very basic and in need of a refurbishment the carpet was stained with burn marks, the bed very uncomfortable and not the cleanest, the bathroom had stains and was in need of a deep clean, furniture was in serious need of a coat of paint, along with the whole part of the hotel. Only positive comment the place was cheap but won't be staying again”

“Lovely family run property with character. Large car park across the road £6.50 for 24 hrs (hotel has small carpark at back). Ideal walking distance for Racecourse and town centre.”
