What a wonderful place to stay on the Cabot Trail. Beautiful views, comfortable, quiet, clean, well appointed room. The host and staff were so charming, and the tasting menu in the restaurant was amazing, Loved it!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Chanterelle Inn. It is right on the Cabot Trail so location is great for exploring. We enjoyed the breakfast and had their dinner one night - it was very tasty! A quaint spot that I would recommend if you’re looking for a homey experience.

A great place to stay while visiting Baddeck and the Cabot Trail. A quiet getaway that is well managed and maintained. The owner and staff make you feel welcome and ensure your stay is top-notch. The breakfast is outstanding.

This is an amazing place to stay. Very quiet, beautiful with a gorgeous view. We had a dinner which was delicious and quite experience, on the patio with a scenic look and hummingbirds next to us. And the best place to see a Milky Way by night!

The Inn is located atop a hill overlooking the river valley and surrounding hills and is very picturesque spot to relax, especially in the screened in porch where the dining room is located. Food was delicious, both the included breakfast, and the Tasting Menu offered for dinner. Slightly overpriced overall, however we enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone traveling in the area. It is well situated as a home base to explore both the Cabot Trail, Sydney and the Bras D’or Lakes regions.

Great little hotel, very well kept, with just the right touch of antique furniture. The rooms are super cosy and the dining/living room is very nice with a beautiful view. The 7-course dinner was outstanding and came with well-paired wine recommendations. We also enjoyed a delicious breakfast. Overall, pretty much the best hotel experience we head during our two-week tour through Nova Scotia.

Rooms were functional. No charm except in common areas. Never changed the towels ( there 3 nights). Never came in the room to straighten up.
Dinners were excellent. Good choice of wine. Breakfasts were adequate. Not special.
Limited information about surrounding restaurants or places to visit except from brochures.
