"We stayed here for two nights and had a pleasant stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was generous with plenty of choices. The location was also very convenient, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The only downside was that we felt the room rate was a little too high for what was offered."

"The hotel staff were amazing! My new wife and I got married at the Akureyri botanic gardens and the staff had a note and two bottles of Prosecco waiting in our room. We upgraded to the suite on the 5th floor with a view of the beautiful city and it was worth it! The breakfast bar was excellent with a wide variety of delicious foods and drinks. We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant and the food and service were outstanding! The exercise room was small and had nice equipment but the hotel lacked a hot tub which would have been nice after riding Icelandic horses. Only a few of the rooms have bath tubs and our room had a walk in shower. There is a water park with hot tubs up the hill however we never made it there. One complaint was due to the hotels location in the city center, loud cars would race up the hill every so often late at night and it was very noisy in our room so we wore ear plugs. Overall, I would give Hotel Kea a 5 star rating 😊"
