“Staff was excellent and the remodel done a couple of years ago is spectacular. Really appreciated the nostalgia of the era when the hotel was first built. The rooms were cool. Bed was really comfortable. ”

“We were supposed to have a queen size and a twin bed however when we checked in we did not. We are not picky people so we asked if perhaps they had a roll out, they kindly brought it to the room. It was AWFUL!!!! The springs were visibly sticking out of the thing!!!! The bed in our room was equally awful with springs showing through!!! My husband, our daughter and I did not sleep very well at all way too uncomfortable.”

“This place is very good. You should stay here. It's simple and straightforward, but you can tell that the owners/operators truly care and have sweated the details. This is a place where they can proudly invite their friends and family to stay. Name-brand toilet paper, nice shampoo and body wash and lotion, nice bathroom fixtures, nice towels, good mattresses, lots of hooks on the walls for hanging your gear, white noise machines to combat the train noise (which didn't bother me at all), and……

“The room was nice only 2 issues on the room. The sink faucet was not a good choice and huge shower with a very minimal shower head- kind of a waste of all the space. Waiting to be seated for breakfast and a beverage was not how i want to start a day since it was open and empty. Mostly very friendly staff. ”

“Off season rates are a great value but with lower winter occupancy, not all amenities are available. This is a wonderful facility.”
