Top Oceania Hotel Reviews

Shangri-La Sydney
10/10 Excellent
"Our Exec Opera house city king room was nice and large with a great view over the Harbour with a generous bathroom with walk-in shower and full bath.
The staff are friendly and very helpful with planning our visit to Sydney and The Rocks. Check in was a breeze but the lifts were very crowded with long waits over the holiday weekend.
Altitude restaurant serves lovely dishes with an exceptional view. You can grab a quick coffee and bite to eat at the Lobby lounge or a full breakfast at their Cafe Mix before heading out to explore the waterfront, the opera house, city or parks."

Four Seasons Hotel Sydney
8/10 Good
"Great view of the Opera House if you select a room with a view. Not great amenities onsite."

Atlantis Hotel, Melbourne
2/10 Terrible
"I’m honestly very disappointed with my stay at Atlantis Hotel :( For something marketed as a 4-star hotel, the standard falls well below.
The room itself is very outdated. The bed was flimsy & seemed to be on some kind of rolling base attached to the headboard, which made it feel unstable, but not too uncomfortable. The pillows were old lumpy with noticeable pilling on fabric. Towels are rough. No windows can be opened, so the room felt poorly ventilated & had a noticeable stale & old smell probably from years without proper airflow.
Cleanliness was a major issue. When I arrived, it looked clean but there was visible ‘dirt’ on the toilet seat & the hygiene seal that’s supposed to indicate cleaning hadn’t been properly placed. There also appears to be a significant build-up of dust in the vents, which adds to the overall lack of freshness in the room.
The air conditioning didn’t work properly, which made the lack of ventilation even worse.
The ‘grand view’ is misleading. The windows are small & don’t offer much of a view, which does not match the images used online when booking. Also as mentioned one can’t even crack them open slightly for air.
Another downside is the gym, it’s not 24/7 like many other hotels in Australia. It closes at 9pm, which is inconvenient for late checkins or a busy schedule.
That said, the staff were all genuinely lovely & kindly offered later checkout due to lift maintenance (while I was checking in).
I wouldn’t recommend / stay here again."

The Fullerton Hotel Sydney
10/10 Excellent
"Meals were excellent. Property was great."

The Langham, Melbourne
8/10 Good
"The location is outstanding, so no need to have a car. CBD, southbank, train station, all very close and in walking distance. Note that parking is expensive and hard. Its either a carpark that allows you one entry one exit per pay, or the hotels valet ($80 a day).
The hotel itself is a bit dated, but still has a luxury feeling. Great gym and great spa. The rooms are a bit small, so if you need to take business calls from the room - take this into consideration. Two people cannot work from the room together."

10/10 Excellent
"Nice and central, friendly staff. I'm not used to paying for valet parking so that was new and an additional cost to be aware of. I would stay here again."

Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"The hotel is extremely comfortable and well maintained! The staff is amazing. Beautiful property. One of the best resorts we’ve stayed.
Each morning I looked forward to the breakfast buffet. Especially the pho!
We had the pleasure of experiencing three different rooms. The pool access was by far our best room!"

Rydges Sydney Airport Hotel
6/10 Okay
"To be very honest. Stay there’re a bit, purely because it easy when your travelling and will continue too.
However! The place is really in need of a good tidy up and an update. Self Check-in is more of a hassle for the staff than the normal check in. It was ( and for the 4 couples behind us) a cluster F.
The rooms are tired and the bar is so busy the poor 3 staff were swamped, which created angst amongst travellers, especially newbys whose excitement got the better of them. St Mary’s pub was less confrontational.
Needs some work Rydges, or change the name. It a brand damaging situation. The staff deserve a medal. The management? A new career move. "

Amora Hotel Brisbane
2/10 Terrible
"No privacy. Staff walked right into the room without knocking or announcing themselves about hour after checking in. Would not return here or recommend. "
