"The Shamrock hotel is always a lovely piece of history to visit. Great location and everything you need right on the premises. The rooms are large and the bathrooms renovated. I love it's old world charm and comfy bed."

"The escape villa is beautifully designed, with plenty of natural light and stunning tree views. The fireplace is a true centerpiece—gorgeous to look at from anywhere in the villa, while also providing excellent warmth and comfort. The open-plan jacuzzi is another highlight, perfectly positioned to take in the views. Both the couch and the bedding are very comfortable, making for a relaxing stay. A couple of small areas could be improved: the TV reception wasn’t great, and some of the bathroom silicone is showing wear and light mold. Overall, though, a wonderful stay in a lovely villa."

"The accomodation was very comfortable and close to city. We loved to hear the trains going past. Being 4 elderly ladies who are not familiar with technology we would have found it helpful if there had been printed directions to operate the television. However we were very satisfied with our stay in lovely Castlemaine."

"Such a unique property. Nestled amongst the gullies and gardens, you wouldn't realise that there are any other villas on the property. The villas are so thoughtfully set out, very opulent and luxurious, everything you need for a romantic getaway right down to champagne bucket and ice machine! Instructions for facilities and appliances were really well described, and the cleanliness of the villa was spotless. Could not recommend more highly and we are looking forward to a return visit! "
