We were entirely satisfied with our stay. We enjoyed spending the day at the capital and coming back to a serene lake setting. Our dog was happy staying with us at the lake house alternating between naps and walks. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to cook gourmet meals.

Had a very nice time at this cabin, the setting was great and the water toys provided by the owner were a big hit with the kids. Would definitely go back.

We stayed Mon to Thursday and celebrated our 70th birthdays. We have been BFF's since kindergarten. The cabin was perfect for us. We arrived & it was being cleaned ( after 4 pm..no big deal i. No big deal.

We appreciated the cleanliness and updated home. The dock is nice and we had a lot of fun with the water trampoline, paddle board, and kayaks. We also appreciated the good quality life vests. Downsides: Most of the floaties need to be replaced (did not hold air) and the cleaners were still present when we arrived at 5, despite a 4 pm check in time. Overall we would rent again!

Beautiful views, very pleasant cabin/house, respectful neighbors, wonderful updated supplies - Lots of great toys - trampoline, paddle boards, kayaks, floating dock and slide plus nice lifejackets and chairs for the lawn. Sleeping arrangements marvelous and good beds. Both good bathrooms (just damage to the towel bar that the owner was scheduling to be repaired) Kitchen was very well supplied. Row boat needs better oars but we paddled clear around the island.

We loved the cozy cabin with the beautiful view! The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well-stocked with staples for cooking, everything was clean, and best of all, we could spend our evenings curled up next to the gas fireplaces. While a modest space, the space was perfectly laid out for a family with four energetic kids. We didn’t stay during warm weather but would love to return to enjoy grilling on the deck and making use of boats and fishing poles!

We stayed for 4 days at this lovely house on Lake St. Clair. Although it wasn't ideal weather, my husband gave fishing a try while I worked online while gazing at the lake view. During the nicer months, this would be an ideal place to use the included kayaks, rowboat and canoe. But the winter months provide a relaxing place to be secluded! Thanks for sharing this little great retreat!

We had a wonderful time! The lake is very accessible and provided lots of opportunities for fun. Though there were some paddle crafts available for use, we brought our own inflatable boat with small motor and tooled around the lake. There are a lot of sections to explore! We caught a fish off the dock our first evening, which ended up being the only fish we caught all week. We hear later in the season is better for fishing. But the week was great, and the house was clean, well stocked and relaxing. The grill and outdoor seating area was appreciated extra space. TV-movie night with popcorn and an afternoon s'mores at the 'fire pit' were some other family highlights.

If you are going to be on the lake/dock this is a great location. Water trampoline, kayaks and boat available to use. If it’s cold and you need to eat inside , space is limited for more than 3-4 people. Back deck, which is covered, has a large table. Kitchen is well stocked with utensils and pots/pans, whatever you need really. Low water pressure, only one shower at the time is possible. We had only 6 bath towels (there were 3 beach towels also ) and 3 wash clothes for our entire group. There is a washer/dryer but still more wash clothes please ! Downstairs carpet had some large stains, looks like it just needs shampooed. Excellent response time to any questions we had. Overall , slightly smaller and more rustic than I expected, but would stay here again.

We arrived for our family's planned 4-night stay at this house, but our enthusiasm didn't last long. Just walking into the house we were assaulted by some really odd and unpleasant musty odors which began triggering our kids' allergies, and it wasn't long before we decided that it would not be wise to follow through with our original plans. We had to frantically re-plan our vacation and come up with alternate lodging at a large expense. (We let the house managers know of our situation, but they completely ignored us and to this day have not replied.) We were at the house long enough to have an interest in warning others that the online listing is NOT a fair representation of the property. The house is not as roomy as it looks in the photos; it is tiny and cramped, and I don't know what kind of wide-angle lens they managed to use to make it look so nice in the pics. The furniture is tired and stained. The is nowhere near enough bedding provided to sustain a houseful of people on a cold night. The bathroom rugs were full of dirt and crumbs and clearly had not been vacuumed, and very few amenities were provided. (Bring your own hair dryer!) The kitchen cabinets even smelled like remnants of old food -- I am not at all surprised by the reports of mouse droppings in other recent reviews. To top it off, the house shares a driveway with a sketchy residence which appears to be in very poor, unmaintained condition, located a mere few feet away. Despite what you might think from the photos, there is almost no privacy in the front or back yards, and the owners even include a disclaimer explaining the neighbors in the check-in packet. We and our kids were profoundly disappointed with the property and our loss of the $1600+ booking fees.

My girlfriends and I take a week each year to decompress, reconnect, eat good food play games craft and watch movies. The lake house is very peaceful and relaxing. We took advantage of the covered decks to enjoy the view. Both fireplaces were put to use. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, glasses , cookware and more. The week passed to quickly and we are already planning for next year’s trip.

Very nice setting and very close to our 3 children and families. Next time I will be fishing the lake that the property is on. This property was perfectly situated for al that we wanted to do. The area was very quiet and restful .
