Prior to arrival, we clearly informed Totoco Lodge that our son has a severe peanut allergy. Despite this, a meal was served with peanuts without our knowledge, causing an anaphylactic reaction that required an EpiPen. Given the remote location, medical care was over an hour away. We were also disappointed that the meal was not removed from our bill after the incident.
Guests should also know that this is more of an eco-lodge/camping experience than a resort. Toiletries are not provided, so come prepared.
