「When is a resort not a resort? In this case, when it doesn't provide any facilities outside the room. There's a rooftop bar in summer but nothing at other times. Staff were pleasant but breakfast was limited and when we asked for a second cup of coffee we had to pay for it. The room is large but was taken up by 4 double futons and a massive hanging screen for projecting TV/video. We felt it was intended for a large group who wanted to watch DVDs all day. The cost would have been fine split 8...

「I was a little skeptical as we arrived after dark and the cab couldn't take us to the door. It is a beautifully restored home perched on a hill with amazing views and a rather steep climb up an alley with a set of stairs approaching the property but it was well worth it! Onomichi is a charming town with lots to do. We rented bicycles and rode through the islands. So glad we chose this property!」
