“Stayed 3 nights and enjoyed hiking the Porkies, drove to Houghton for a day trip (very cool town), and looked for yooperlites at the beach (1/2 mile down the road). The cabin was clean and a welcoming place to come back to at the end of each day and Deb was a great host and very responsive and made great suggestions for activities in the area. “Great base camp for exploring the porkies. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate with our plans to ski and snowboard this year but we enjoyed our stay. We hiked and made some great food, played cards and rested up after Christmas and celebrated New Years Eve in the cozy cabin.”

“Our dogs loved the yard and home comfort of the cabin. Very close to quite a few waterfalls, the harbor and the Copper Peak ski jump. Awesome to bike from to all those spots or hike. Highly recommend if you have dogs. Sad we didn't get to try the pub next door, but we will next time!”

“We had such a wonderful couple days of peaceful serenity while staying at the Hannu Haus. There were do many special touches to the decor that added to the warmth & coziness of the log cabin. It had plenty of space to entertain and well thought out ideas for keeping children occupied. “We have stayed several times in the UP and this was our favorite property. The neighborhood is nice and quiet and we saw several deer walking around and an old sweet black lab that walks around the block. Host is always available and you can communicate with him at any time. The internet is very good for any remote workers or gamers, you will be just fine. “Super warm and cozy! Very accurate listing, bathroom was very clean, loved the coffee bar and that you provide jams and other items we didn’t want to bring up with us. Neighborhood is quite and felt safe even though it’s older. House is close to the porcupine mountains park and lots of deer everywhere! Will stay here again in the summer! “The cabin was absolutely great! It was very clean. If you have kids, they have a baby gate, pack & play and booster seat. They even had supplies for your pup.
