“Two besties met halfway for a girls weekend. Close to Alexandria and all it has to offer. The Boathouse was perfect for the two of us. We enjoyed an evening on the deck with the beautiful fall colors on the lake. Host was available by phone and let me know that by a phone call before I checked in. “It was a fantastic property, exactly as described. The uniqueness of the shape made it really cool. It was lovely cátedra on a beautiful lake and kayaks were provided. The owner was always available if for some reason we needed to communicate. Everybody would enjoy their stay and would definitely miss out on an amazing experience if they didn’t check it out. I can say with absolute certainty that we will be booking the cabin again in the fall and winter. ”

“We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was clean and ready for us to settle in. There were plenty of bath towels, hand soap, dish soap, etc. The beds were comfortable and there were good amenities. Kitchen was well stocked. I'd recommend adding a cheese grater and measuring spoons though. :) There is a loft with 4 beds and a couple of couches. Great place for kids to hang. We loved the enclosed porch that faced the lake. Thanks! We'll be back!”

“House had everything we could need for our family of 6. Lots of dishes, nice appliances, and enough sleeping room for all. We loved fishing off the dock, using the kayaks, enjoyed water sports on the lake, and nice that the location was close to a gas station, restaurants (Leaf Valley Mercantile and Old Mill were both great!), and a boat ramp. Definitely want to try out Carlos Creek Winery and 22 Northmen next time!”

“We had a great long weekend in July 2025.PROS - Kitchen is great. Air conditioning is strong in the main room. Beds were comfortable, plenty of sleeping room. Main level master is plenty spacious.
