「Wonderful stay in Varzo! Lovely mother and daughter hosts. Delicious homemade breakfast and very comfortable room with a nice view. Right down the hill from San Domenico ski area with excellent scenic hiking. Would recommend Chalet Il Picchio to all!」

「Lovely hotel right in the centre of Locarno square, immaculate, restaurants and shops 2 minutes away and ten minute walk to station」

「The room was fine but we didn’t know the room we booked was actually a tiny compound separated from the main hotel by looking at the online photos. The room we had was without any privacy as there is only the ground floor (and basement) and everyone walking by the road could see us. We didn’t feel safe as well. 」

「Nettes, rustikales Zimmer. Aber...! Kompliziertes self-checkin.

「This is a lovely, very clean and convenient hotel in Ascona, a charming little town. We stayed for just one night on our way to Italy, but we left with such fond memories of our stay. The hotel is family run, and the wonderful couple who run it make you feel genuinely welcome and cared for from the moment you arrive. Their kindness and personal touch made the experience feel special. There are plenty of nice, clean hotels, but it’s the heartfelt hospitality here that makes this one truly...

「The owner is very warm and considerate. We arrived later than the time we told her and she called us to check was everything ok. She also gave us an ipad with a lot of site visit suggestions and great restaurants recommendations which are really helpful. Her mother is also very nice and welcomed us with a coffee from their fancy app and superb machine. Rooms are clean and uniquely designed, while hotel is just 5 minutes walk away from centre.」

「This place is a perfect work of art, which is wonderful. The GPS takes you slightly further than you should go if you are using Google maps or Apple Maps and driving here. Meaning that the hotel is above the little town that it shows to be near or in according to the GPS maps. Other than this, everything was perfect!」

「the room itself was alright but the staff was not very helpful. We stayed for one night and the day we arrived no one was at the front desk even though it was supposed to be open so I waited for 25 minutes before someone finally came. We gave them our ID’s to take photos and paid the city tax. The next day when checking out, the same lady tried to convince me that we had not yet paid the city tax and when I said I had she said “you must have paid my boss” and I had to explain that I paid her...

「Comunicação fácil, anfitrião atencioso e quarto aconchegante, com vista maravilhosa. 」
