We had a truly wonderful stay at Villa Aroa and would gladly return. From the moment we arrived, Patricia our host greeted us promptly and gave a thoughtful walkthrough of the property, which helped us settle in quickly and feel comfortable using all the amenities. We also appreciated the recommendations for nearby restaurants and markets which made planning our days effortless.The villa itself is absolutely beautiful and was perfectly suited for our family of five. There was plenty of space for everyone to relax, and the layout made it easy to spend quality time together while still having room to unwind individually. One of our favorite parts of the home was the outdoor area. We especially enjoyed spending evenings there as it is a peaceful and inviting space. That said, I would recommend bringing bug spray, as mosquitoes tend to come out around dusk.The pool area is also lovely and well-maintained. Our only suggestion would be to consider heating the pool, as it doesn’t get a great deal of direct sunlight during the day. We visited in mid-March and found the water a bit chilly, especially in the evenings. The kids didn’t mind at all, but as adults, we would have enjoyed a slightly warmer swim, particularly at night.Oyster Pond was a great location on the island. We drove everywhere in around 20-30 minutes. Favorite was Pinel Island; make reservations at Yellow Beach for chairs and arrive before 11 then head to Mama pizza for dinner with stunning views.
