Friendly staff, clean room, nice bed, quiet at night, enjoyed my stay for 4 nights. Would definitely recommend staying here, it’s simple but nice. Enjoyed my stay.

Really enjoyed our stay here….really clean great view from our window and great location …. HOWEVER the only down side was the electric car charging. I’d drove 250miles and just made it. Only to find the bays are unmarked so anyone can park there, and I can’t blame them for doing so as you would never know. The spaces were always taken by non electric cars and when I raised this with reception she said there’s nothing she can do which really wasn’t helpful at all. Why have the electric charging if anyone can just park there it defeats the object. And really caused a nuisance because then with be ry little charge and late at night I had to drive around and try to find somewhere to charge the car which really ruined the first night for us.

Nice room, modern facilities. Nice sea view if you can get one. Breakfast in the restaurant adequate rather than outstanding. Overall a decent place to stay.

When we checked in to room we found 2 pairs of ladies dirty underwear in the bed side cabinet The room was very basic no fridge for my medicine! One chair in the room! No no sauna as advertised which hasn’t been working for months. The only reason we went in hotel because of all the extra facilities. I complained to the front desk on three different occasions they all promised me they would make notes and let the management know. Hope nobody did surprise. One of the staff said to method hotel is the basic of the basic but the price was very expensive. Would never stay in an Ibis hotel again. We’ve stayed in the Mercure hotel next door, which was excellent ! Breakfast in the hotel was very basic not much on display. Staff looks very scruffy. This was a very poor decision to stay in Ibis Hotel Expedia website said the hotel was excellent, but they need to read what they put on there because it doesn’t work

First time away with my partner on holiday for one night, the rooms were wonderful, nice spacious area and comfy beds. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Just wished the check in was before 3pm but overall wonderful hotel to stay in for a night away or two. Definitely coming back again.

The hotel is nice but rooms are really dusty. I have a few photos I can send over if you provide me with an email address? It's not ideal for someone like myself who suffers with asthma as it made my breathing much worse. There was so much dust in the carpets, on some surfaces, in the vents for the air con units. Really not acceptable. I suggest that the cleaners are provided with hoovers with full filtration system so that dust is not projected back out.

Top hotel top staff

This was a great place , one staff member stood out , was so accommodating, sorry forgot name , blond with possibly a Dutch accent. Helped with storing a surprise wedding anniversary cake.

On arrival was told the computer had allowed for double booking and there were no rooms available. Was directed to their sister hotel Mercure (which was lovely!). The problem was that the payment was not transferred and payment had to be made to the Mercure, so paid twice. It took days to resolve

We often stay at this Ibis as it provides value for money when booking in advance, so this is at least the 5th stay. The bed is huge, but felt like it had a wooden plank securing the two beds together impossible to rest/lay on - so not ideal for a couple. Aircon was a blessing as this visit was during a heatwave. The hotel seems to struggle with staffing at times, bar can be painfully slow. Front door still opens at a snails pace. Staff have always been pleasant and friendly. Noise from the lift is very annoying, I'm sure the volume could be turned down. I'll always recommend this Ibis for a short break and for those unfamiliar with the area you couldnt get closer to the action - the beach is a few moments walk, plenty of bars and restaurants, 5 minutes to the train and bus stations.
