The apartment features a kitchen with an oven for preparing delicious meals, along with a balcony overlooking the Papireto River Park. Bedding and towels are included. On the same landing, there is another apartment owned by the same owner, where you’ll find Mr. Tiziano, who will welcome you and provide practical advice about the city and any other information you may need.<br>Just a few metres from our property, you’ll find many of Palermo’s historical and architectural landmarks. 100 metres away, at the end of Via Pindemonte, you’ll find the famous Capuchin Catacombs—a place for the brave, where the living meet the dead. 150 metres away, heading towards Corso Calatafimi, you’ll find the ruins of the Castello della Cuba. 500 metres away, you’ll reach Piazza Indipendenza, one of the city’s most important central squares due to the presence of notable buildings such as Palazzo d’Orleans, the rear entrance to the Sicilian Regional Assembly, which leads to the Palatine Chapel, the Church of the Madonna dei Rimedi, and Porta Nuova. Overlooking the square, you’ll also find a large central garden of relatively recent origin and one of the ramparts of the Norman Palace. You’ll also find the bus station, Parco d’Orleans, and the underground Palazzo Reale-Orleans train station, which is also served by the metropolitan rail service. About 800 metres towards Corso Vittorio Emanuele, the Cathedral of Palermo will appear almost as if by magic, and continuing on, you’ll reach the Quattro Canti, the city’s central hub. One kilometre away, you’ll come to Via Maqueda, the heart of Palermo’s shopping district; turning left there will lead you to the Teatro Massimo and the Teatro Politeama. On the right, you’ll find Piazza Pretoria—also known as “Piazza della Vergogna”—and Piazza Bellini, where you can see the majestic Greek Orthodox Church of Martorana. Across from it is the entrance to the famous Ballarò Market, offering a superb view of the Casa Professa church.
