Fantastic helpful hosts, great location, great apartment.

Located just a couple of minutes from Quattro Canti in the heart of Palermo. Franco and Maria are fantastic hosts. Franco met us and lead us to the parking garage that he had arranged for us, helped us with our bags and got us settled in. We had a great stay.

Fantastic Apartment & Location

The best communication by the manager. He even gave us his recommended places to see with our short time in Palermo, booked our transportation to and from the airport, and made us dinner reservations because of our very tight schedule. He went above and beyond. Would stay again.

Week in paradise

Outstanding location! Franco and Maria were wonderful hosts. Franko even arranged a transfer from the airport for us. We travel in Europe frequently, staying in holiday homes, and we put this in the top three. Hope to return with our son and daughter-in-law.

Wonderful Stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Petra! We appreciate them letting us check in early since our flight got in early in the day. The apartment is in a very busy area. It was a little loud at night, but we kept the windows closed and it didn't bother us. We had 4 adults and 2 teens and stayed for 2 nights. It was a little hard with there being only 1 shower, but it worked for us since it was a short stay. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. We loved the location and the fact we could walk everywhere. Would stay again! Thank you Franco!

It started long before our stay. The host went above and beyond for us. He reserved a safe place we could leave our car (which i highly recommend because parking is rough). He also booked us attwo wonderful restaurants. The apartment was just as described, wonderful. But what i didnt realize was the main area is literally like 15 steps from the apartment which was so convenient. I could go on and on. I would highly recommend this place to everyone i know traveling to Palermo!!! Thanks again for all of the added touches that made our vacation even better and less stressful. I wish every host was like you.

Perfect time in Palermo!

My family of 5 had a great stay at Casa Petra. Clean, comfortable and convenient apartment. Walk right out front door and you are right in the historic district of the city. Location could not have been any better. We loved Palermo!

Franco and his son Flavio were amazing. They assisted in referrals for restaurants and were very attentive. Their new 1 bedroom studio looks amazing too. You will not need a car. Everything is walkable.

It is hard to say what we loved most about our stay. The apartment was clean and comfortable, the mattress was excellent (yay!), the communication and assistance from ouor hosts was absolutely above-and-beyond, and the location could not be better. You are literally steps away from the very best part of town. With all of that, I would say the excellent service provided by our hosts was our favorite thing. They were so helpful to us and made our first time to Palermo a breeze. Would absolutely recommend this property!!

Great apartment, amazing location!

Super comfortable apartment, with all the amenities, in a safe building. We didn't use the kitchen facilities a we found the local eating places very reasonably priced as compared to other countries we visited in Italy. The apartment is steps to the four fountains, in the heart of Palermo, many many restaurants and bars to choose from, and don't miss the local markets for some great food at reasonable prices, they really come alive at night. Enjoy this wonderful city from this beautiful apartment and fantastic location!

Location, location, location

Franco was extremely helpful. He not only made sure someone was available to get us right in, but he arranged for parking for our rental car as well. We could not have asked for a better location. It is right off the Main Street with plenty of restaurants and stores easily in walking distance. It was extremely easy to get to the sights without long walks or taking taxis. There was such an amazing vibe right outside your front door. The main living area felt a little cramped and looked bigger in the pictures, but the bedrooms were enormous with very comfortable beds. As long as you don’t mind a little street noise outside your windows (very little) and you enjoy night life this is the place for you. I highly recommend this property.

We stayed 3 nights at this wonderful condo. Pros: Franco was a perfect host, gave great recommendations, helped with reservations of transfers and restaurant! Location is in middle of all the actions, restaurants, street vendors. Condo is fully equipped, and clean. Good water pressure in shower. Common area was clean. Very safe area. Cons: can hear all the actions outside well passed midnight, hear upstairs neighbour walking and pulling furniture, shower stall a little small. Overall, highly recommend this condo! Would come back anytime.

Phenomenal.

I can not even begin to describe how amazing Franco was. This property is located only a few steps from the literal center of historic Palermo. Franco was incredible enough to coordinate a parking spot at the in city parking garage, the ZTL parking pass, and even meeting us at a location to guide us to where we parked; all of those things were incredibly helpful and we would have been lost without them. The property is exactly as described; extremely spacious, well appointed, and three nice bedrooms. The property is very clean. He even had four itineraries printed out of things to do for the day around the area. He had some lovely little breakfast items for us for the mornings of our stay. Franco checked on us throughout our stay and even took the initiative to help rectify an issue that had nothing to do with him or his property. He truly went above and beyond. He was more than a host to his property, he was a host to his country. We will absolutely stay with him again.

Communication was excellent. Maria and Franco would assist with anything we needed quickly. The best thing about the apartment is the location. It’s in the heart of Palermo and we were able to walk everywhere. The 3 bedrooms are an adequate size. The living/kitchen/dining area is very small. There is air conditioning in all the bedrooms. The only issue we had was that if the air conditioner was on, you were unable to use the hair dryer or the washing machine. The lights would go out and we learned how to flip the switch in the outside hallway. The apartment is on the older side but provided everything you would need. I would recommend it for anyone wanting to explore Palermo but not planning to spend much time in the apartment.

Palazzo Moncada - Casa Petra ai Quattro Canti

This apartment is very nice and in a very convenient location to all of the sites of Palermo and within short walking distances to the three outdoor markets, the palace, and the Cathedrale. This was our first time renting an apartment on-line and The owners, Fabio and Flavio, could not have been nicer and more helpful. They communicated with us regularly before and during our stay. The entire apartment building is very clean and well maintained and Fabio and Flavio provided for Letizia to come to the apartment weekly for a cleaning and she, too, was wonderful. The owners were also kind enough to arrange for a driver, Paolo, for transportation to and from the airport. Our experience has been terrific and we would highly recommend this apartment because of the owners and the location. We may even return here. Thank you Fabio, Flavio, Letizia, and Paolo. G. The apartment building and the apartment itself were clean and updated. It is in a location that some people may say is convenient as it is in the center of things - literally right next to the Quattro Canti and on Via V. Emmanuel. However, I didn't like the area of the apartment building or the area by the parking garage for our rental car. Crowded, graffiti when entering alley to apartment, homeless people nearby (and i live in NYC so I am used to this, but don't want to see it when I travel). We had stayed in the Politeama area when we arrived in Palermo a week earlier, but the hotel we stayed at was not available for our last night in Palermo after touring Sicily. So I found this apartment and the price was inexpensive, got good ratings and is very nice for the price, and we only needed to sleep there and get up early and leave. So didn't really experience any amenities in the kitchen. Please be aware that the electricity cannot handle a hair dryer and 3 bedroom air conditioners going at the same time. The fuse blew and thankfully I could feel for my phone in front of me and was able to turn on the flashlight, as it was night time and dark. The host and his associate were very accessible and responsive for this issue and any time I contacted them, however, they can only communicate in English through What's App using a translator app. They both said their English is not good.

Palermo is the best!

The apartment I originally rented had become unavailable so Franco upgraded me to another more expensive flat in the same building but at no additional charge. I hadn’t been expecting a terrace but it was a wonderful addition. The flat was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Franco clearly cares that the people who rent from him have a good travel experience. He was helpful in making sure I knew what bus stop to use coming and going to the airport. I can’t imagine a better location. As the building is on a small alley way there is no street traffic noise yet you are steps away from Quattro Canti and Fontana Pretoria. There are endless buildings of architectural beauty to admire as you explore the streets and byways. Having the restaurant Bisso Bistrot just around the corner was a plus. I also liked I Cucci in Piazza Bologni just a short walk away. There are pedestrian only streets adjacent to the flat and the lighting at night is good. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom sink had a ledge with space for toiletries that was helpful. I also liked the closet/clothes storage arrangement. While a historic building, it has been updated and the elevator was great. I was able to walk to all the Palermo sights. I could walk to the train station to go to Cefalù and the bus stop for Monreale. I loved staying at a flat that I could so easily stop by for a few minutes. I am very grateful that I had an opportunity to stay here.
