The apartment
The apartment is situated at Moncada Palace, building built in the XVI century and belonged to the aristocratic family of Moncada, part of Aragonese crown. The entire building is newly renovated, cared in details, with elevator and the original walls of tuff beautifully restored.
The apartment is on first floor, totally new and with all comforts. It has a kitchen – living room full equipped and washing machine, a comfortable bathroom with shower and bidet, a room with a little balcony, double bed and a double sofa bed.
The Moncada’s houses are in the famous “Quattro Canti”, excellent landmark of Palermo that corresponds to the exact geographic centre of ancient city. The building is situated in front of the Church San Giuseppe dei Teatini, one of the best and beautiful churches to visit. A few steps away is Piazza Pretoria, better known as “Square of Shame”, where is the imposing Palazzo delle Aquile, the town hall, and behind there are the beautiful churches La Martorana and S. Cataldo.
About 300 meters away you can easily reach the Cathedral of Palermo and the Theatre Massimo, one of oldest and biggest of Europe. In only 10 minutes of walk there are the old Royal Palace and the Cappella Palatina, Theatre Politeama, Piazza San Domenico, many museums and other places of cultural and historic interest.

Excellent location, plenty of places to see close by and lots of choice of places to eat.Communication and advice from host very good. Kitchen basic, no kettle, bowls and cups small, could have been cleaner.AC good washing machine and drying rack useful. Noisy at night. Bed a bit hard.

Excellent area, right in the heart of the old town; it was interesting to have ‘concerts’ from the street performers every evening.It was an easy walk to many wonderful venues such as the cathedral, royal palace, antiques market; Ballaró market; the Teatro Massimo and the Politeama Garibaldi; the shops on Via Roma, Via Maqueda and Corso Vittorio Emanuele.Restaurants were very close by and we enjoyed a fantastic ice cream at Ruvolo.Palermo seen through these experiences is a lovely place but is overwhelming with the panoply of noises, smells and colours. Certainly a place we will not forget. The room at Palazzo Moncada was the perfect foil to all of that since it became an excellent oasis of peace and quiet in this city of extremes.

The host was knowledgeable and responded quickly! The room was comfortable and equipped. Location was within walking to all street markets and many attractions. There are many restaurants, gelaterias, and bakeries. Parking is not free and a parking garage is within a 1 -2 km walk. Live music can be heard from Quattro Canti, the room is right around the corner from it. No natural light from outside comes into room but the windows can be left slightly open.
If you're not looking to spend a lot of time in your room this place is great to be at many attractions, shopping and food. The room, kitchen and bathroom were modern, spacious and very clean. I would stay here again.

Easter in Palermo
The landlord presented the property accurately and honestly. The location was perfect. One need only to step out the door and you were in the middle of all that was happening. I participated in more by accident than I did by plan. I was there for 17 nights and I would do it over again.

Beautiful Property
Conveniently located at Quattro Canto. This apartment was everything we needed - good shower, comfortable bed, wifi, and washing machine. A elevator too, which was quite welcome at this stage of our trip. The apartment is very clean and well-maintained. The host was easy to communicate with and very pleasant. If I have the good fortune to stay in Palermo again I’ll definitely book this unit :)

Hidden gem in Palermo
Me and my wife stayed one night. Giuseppe was very friendly and gave us tons of information prior to our arrival. Parking can be found within a few mins walk of this lovely apartment, that is located in a perfect spot if youre looking to enjoy palermo especially the night life. The apartment is the perfect size for any traveling couple. The apartment was very clean and very secure. Plenty of amenities. Will definitely be staying again if in Palermo. Thanks Giuseppe.

Im Herzen von der Altstadt in Palermo, diese Wohnung ❣️
Ausser dem check-in was leider nicht so gut organisiert war, hat mir der Aufenthalt im Case Monacda sehr gut gefallen. Alles war sehr sauber , due Wohnung war gut ausgestattet und Lage ist hervorragend!

Historical Palermo
We spent 3 days at Casa Moncada in the heart of the action. We were late coming in due to missing a connecting flight and Giuseppe guided us and assisted with a driver from the airport. I will say without the driver knowing the exact location of the entrance, it would have been difficult to find. Inside was clean and comfortable, the bed was comfortable for sleeping. The location was excellent, walking distance to all the important sites. As my wife and I travel quite a bit, some amenities like paper towels, a coffee machine, olive oil for cooking, bottled water upon arrival would make Casa Moncada even more ideal, however, I would certainly stay here in the future if travelling to Palermo. Most central location
If you want to be in the center of Palermo, this is it. Apartment had everything I needed. The only potential downside is the noise level coming in from live music being played on the Quattro Canti square around the corner.
