Pool closed/damaged, trash in rooms, could see through the towels, all balconies closed and crumbling supported with scaffolding, ocean view was spectacular once we cleaned the windows ourselves. Staff said the hotel was in process of shutting down permanently.

If you’re looking to stay here, it’s important to note that it is not a resort-type hotel whatsoever. It is an old, NY-style apartment building with rented units, much more like an Airbnb. I get the sense it’s a gamble what kind of room you’ll get and some are better than others. The room we got was not like the photo at all and did not have central air, but then they upgraded us to a renovated unit that was completely different. The free “cabanas” are just 5-6 tents and there is no staff on the beach. Towels are limited. The pool is closed for renovations which was not on their website. If you end up getting a good deal and want something cheaper with beach access, it’s not bad and the staff is nice. I don’t think it’s worth more than $170/night. If you expect higher quality service, probably not the place for you.

Too bad they are demolishing this Hotel, it was by far one of the best hotels we have stayed in. We loved being so close to the beach and being able to walk to the Pier. The environment was great. If they decide to demolish and just renovate, we will be back.

The staff were super friendly and helpful! The AC in our room had to be worked on, so they upgraded us to an oceanview penthouse for no charge. The convenience to the beach is absolutely amazing!

I will say the staff was awesome and they did upgrade my room, which I thought was very nice. But other than that the room was dirty in some areas, there were dirty soahes left in the dishwasher. I would have booked here if it was advertised they were doing renovations. Could've use the balcony. There was ceiling water damage in one of the bathrooms. There were dead bugs, it smelled molded. The small shampoo and soap bottles one was used and not replaced. There is more but to much to type. I didnt enjoy my stay.

On our arrival, the room wasn’t clean, which was disappointing. It’s clear the hotel is understaffed, and while that affects service, the team is doing their best with the resources they have. The manager was fantastic—very accommodating and willing to go above and beyond. The receptionist was also very friendly and made us feel welcome. After raising concerns, the manager moved us to a second room, but unfortunately, that room was also unclean upon closer inspection. At that point, we decided to stay elsewhere for the remainder of our trip to Palm Beach. It seems housekeeping is scheduled every third day, but the consistency and quality are hit or miss. While the staff was great, the overall experience didn’t meet expectations.

For the price point, I expected a much higher standard. Unfortunately, the room was very outdated, with white paint hastily applied over old doors and windows in an attempt to freshen up the look — which didn’t work. The “ocean view” was minimal at best. The bathroom was inconvenient, with no shelf or ledge in the shower to place toiletries, leaving the only option to set them on the floor. The kitchenette lacked basic necessities — no paper towels or dish drying towel, just a bathroom when asked hand towel and washcloth provided. The TV cable service didn’t work during our stay, and the advertised buffet breakfast was misleading — limited to cereal, bagels, and yogurt, hardly what one would consider a full buffet. The beach area did offer complimentary chairs, which was the only real positive. However, the door lock to the room felt very outdated and not secure enough to feel safe, especially at night. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this property at least room 106, unless significant upgrades are made. It does not match the price tag or the expectations set by the listing

The reviews tell the story. Truthfully I think this place has great potential. But without the oceanview due to balcony construction, and the pool being closed indefinitely, its just an outdated place with poor mattresses. Also the sheets on the bed were completely worn, like they had been washed and dryed way too many times to still put that on a bed as a fresh sheet. If those problems get fixed or if theyd like to upgrade me to that top floor suite for a free weeks stay I'll change my review.

Rooms need updates

Location, beach and restaurant were great. Pool was closed due to inspection issue, so they gave us restaurant vouchers. Unfortunately, restaurant only open Wednesday-Saturday. Room was okay. They use keys and we had a total stranger enter our room at midnight. No secondary safety lock. While bed was comfortable and clean, air did not go below 74 despite 3 service requests. No housekeeping. No toiletries beyond a bar of soap. Furniture was stained and old. Balcony was nice except during construction hours with drilling downstairs. Could be a really nice place with some tlc and upgrades.

Das Hotel ist Baujahr 1941 wie wir erfahren haben und es wurde anscheinend nie renoviert. Alle Balkone des Hotels sind einsturzgefährdet es sind Bau IZM auf allen Balkonen und diese sind nicht betreten Bar7. Die Tür zu unserem Apartment hat geklemmt und man konnte es nur aufkommen wenn man stark gegen die Tür drückte. Die Tür zum Bad war auch sehr schwergängig und man konnte sie nur schließen wenn man sich gegen die Tür ganz stark lehnte. In unserem Apartment haben wir eine große Küchenschabe gesehen. Wir sind deswegen sofort abgereist und haben ein neues Hotel gesucht und haben über ihre Plattform dieses Hotel gebucht, dieses 118… Sie sehen es meinen Unterlagen, für die gleiche Nacht gebucht um schnell eine preisgünstigste Alternative zu finden weil es schon spät abends war. Eigentlich müssten Sie uns die Kosten für das Ambassador zurück erstatten es war wirklich nicht zumutbar, ich hatte wirklich Angst wenn ich dort schlafe dass die Küchen schaue in mein Bett kommt. Es war wirklich eklig, ich kann es nicht anders beschreiben. Ich war froh als wir draußen waren. Ich habe Fotos vom Hotel von außen mit diesem Balkonen, es sieht wirklich aus wie eine Baustelle es ist unglaublich alt und verfallen. Am Strand gab es zehn liegen für das gesamte Hotel, viel zu wenig. Der Strand auch komplett ungepflegt. Ich bitte Sie den Vorgang zu überprüfen und fair wäre wirklich eine Kosten Rückerstattung. Staff was very accommodating, when we booked our stay through expedia we were not notified that the pool was closed however the staff called to notify us prior to our stay. They also gave us vouchers to the restaurant on the property.

Do not stay here. The local authority has condemned it as per the sheet stuck on the windows in reception. We paid for a balcony but they are ALL covered in scaffold. We were told we had be upgraded but ended up in a room with NO balcony! If you have kids there is no pool as been drained. Told by the rude receptionist to swim in the sea. Sign in the garden to say there are rip tides!!! Ridiculous. Location is good but not at all safe if you have children. Don’t stay here is my advice. Also no kettle in the rooms and weed continually being smoked in other rooms so stinks! Breakfast served on paper plates and plastic bowls!! Other than the above it was a great stay!!!!
