Our newly remodeled, 4-bedroom home is an open & airy space that brings you the best of Palm Springs living. Stylish and comfortable, our home features plush furnishings to help you relax & unwind, along with all the modern amenities that make you feel at home. Enjoy the majestic, sweeping views of the San Jacinto mountains from our large backyard, complete with pool/spa, outdoor dining area and fire pit. It`s truly a special space. We hope you enjoy & make it your own desert oasis.
Welcome to `The Bird House,` built in 1960 by famed architect Jack Meiselman and included in the 2022 Modernism Week Tour. Designed with an ode to the style & sophistication of Palm Springs, this open concept, 4-bedroom/4 bath home is the epitome of mid-century desert living. The property is a relaxing space featuring brand new furniture, tons of room to enjoy & relax in, and a large backyard complete with pool, spa, outdoor shower, fire pit, multiple dining areas and chaise lounges overlooking the mountains.
Once featured on the Modernism Week property tour, the home has been remodeled with mid century modern furnishings & fixtures, along with updated appliances and many features that make your stay comfortable and convenient. With two bright and airy living rooms that offer tons of seating options, a working fireplace, dining room and full bar area, our stunning property features plenty of room for your group to relax and unwind in.
The living room opens to the spacious dining area, which contains a large table that’s ideal for dinner parties. The newly reconfigured kitchen features stainless steel appliances, oversized island with bar stools, and plenty of countertop space for you to create that perfect meal. The entire living and dining room area has windows and glass doors opening out to the backyard for that perfect blend of indoor/outdoor living. We have a covered patio that`s perfect for dining al-fresco under the desert sky, a BBQ grill and two outdoor tables to enjoy the magic of the desert with your entire group.
Our four bedrooms are colorful, inviting and equipped with comfy, cushy mattresses for you to enjoy. The beds are outfitted with soft sheets and duvets to give you that perfect night’s sleep. The primary bedroom contains a plush King-size bed and contains a gorgeous en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower. The bedroom has a SmartTV with cable, and sliding doors with access to the backyard.
Two other bedrooms feature King-size beds and en-suite bathrooms with walk-in showers. The fourth bedroom has a Queen-size bed, with bathroom located in the hallway. All have SmartTVs with cable, plenty of room to stretch out in, and tons of natural light coming from the glass sliding doors and windows surrounding our property.
The desert-inspired aesthetic of our landscaped outdoor area really steals the show, offering privacy and stunning views of the mountains in either direction. Several comfy chaise lounges & chairs, a fire pit, two large outdoor dining tables and plenty of additional seating allow you to relax and re-energize under the stars. The backyard also features a BBQ grill for that perfect outdoor meal overlooking the sunset over the mountains.
Additional amenities that you’ll enjoy are complimentary ultra fast WiFi throughout the house, SmartTVs with cable in the all rooms, washer/dryer, stainless steel appliances, garage parking with two Tesla charging stations, and complimentary toiletries in every bathroom.
Our home is the ideal desert retreat, with nearby activities for all seasons. We hope you enjoy and make it your own special oasis!
CITY OF PALM SPRINGS REGULATIONS & RENTAL RULES
(we don`t make the rules, but we do follow them!)
**No parties or large social gatherings of any kind are permitted at this location!**
Neighbors have been notified that this property is a vacation rental and are encouraged to call a hotline to dispatch authorities to investigate any disturbances. If the city issues a violation, guest will be responsible for payment of any fine(s) and may be evicted with no refund.
- Minimum age for primary renting guest is 25.
- Daytime occupancy is 12 people.
-Overnight occupancy is 8 people.
- Maximum of 4 vehicles allowed. Please utilize driveway parking before using street parking.
- The City imposes a strict noise ordinance for vacation rentals. No music is allowed outside at any time, including music coming from inside that can be heard at the property line, and no noise at all is allowed outside after 10pm.
- The City requires a signed written contract for all guests, as well as a copy of the primary renter`s government ID. This will be taken care of during check-in.
- The City requires each guest to pay an 11.5% Transient Occupancy Tax and a 1% Tourism Business Improvement District assessment for stays less than 28 days. If your stay is 28 days or more, taxes do not need to be paid.
ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE
- Check-in time is 4PM, and check-out is promptly by 11AM.
- Our onsite greeter will meet you at the home and give you a tour.
- Late check-outs without prior approval with incur a $250 fee, as we need time to get the house ready for the next guest.
POOL HEATING
- Optional pool heating is recommended from October to April for an additional fee of $90 per day.
- The pool heat must be turned on for the duration of your stay.
- Spa heat is included in the price of the rental.
PETS
- One pet is allowed (under 20 lbs), with a fee of $100. Pets must be approved and fee paid prior to check-in. Any sign of pets on the property without our knowledge will incur an additional $500 fee and will be cause for eviction.
NO SMOKING
- We have a no smoking policy. Any signs of smoking in the house will incur an additional $250 fee.
CLEANING
The final cleaning after your checkout is included in your reservation quote. For stays longer than 6 weeks, guest will be responsible for the cost of a mid-stay clean every 30 days. Fund will be collected from guest as mid-stay cleanings occur.
INSURANCE FEE for Vrbo & Direct Bookings (does not apply to Airbnb bookings)
Guest is responsible for the service fee below, depending on length of stay:
● $99: 1-29 nights
● $450: 30-59 nights
● $150: each additional 30-night block

Please note there are cameras on the doorbell, in the side yard, and in the back yard facing the outdoor kitchen.
