"We had great stay in this property. The property owner met us on check-in and provided a very comprehensive review of his home. This home had everything we needed including an awesome back patio. Would highly recommend this property and definitely recommend eating at the restaurant right around the corner."

"If you are staying in the area, you must stay here. The family is so lovely, they met us to check in and to check out, to make sure we knew everything we needed about the property. Not only can you pick all the vegetables and fruits on the property, but you can fetch fresh eggs every day from the chicken coop. It was so fun for my city-kid 5 year old twin boys. The pool was great, as was the game room, my boys didn't ask about a screen once. It's in a great location to explore Douro Valley...

"The rental was very well maintained with everything a person needs. It was also very clean with a lovely garden. However, for us, being elderly seniors, we found it too far to walk to the city center."

"Really great villa with character and style!The pool area is fantastic and there are lots of rooms, but only 2 bathrooms, so make sure you're happy to share. 2 small but functional kitchens made cooking simple things doable.Maria was communicative and helpful before and during our stay - she was lovely enough to buy us some groceries ahead of time as we were arriving late. If you're staying, I'd advise bringing some consumables as shops are far away. It would have been nice to have more cleaning...

Nous regrettons cependant de n'avoir pu communiquer avec le propriétaire que par SMS, et ceci sans le moindre contact verbal et physique durant notre séjour. Cela ne nous a pas permis de prendre en main aisèment toute les fonctionnalités de la location. C'est bien dommage"

On a very narrow & steeply sloping residential street, a car is a must (parking available nearby), although there is a lovely stroll down to the river beach.
