The home was freezing, the HVAC unit was not working downstairs, it has not been working, because they had individual space heaters that were placed everywhere, these all leaked water and ended up causing several of our group to slip and fall causing injuries, and emotional trauma/ anxiety/ financial losses. They only gave us one key, which we asked for more within hours of entering the house. We were ignored by Belvilla, and check my guest their management team. They did not assume responsibility and tried to blame each other. Belvilla claimed to have reached out multiple times to fix or address issues, but this is also untrue. I have emails, phone logs, that show the total lack of response, accountability, concern for injured guests, just the most unprofessional management of a property or guest that I am amazed and horrified that Vrbo would brand themselves with.The lack of concern for our injured is at least litigious. Which we are exploring right now.The house had a mechanical system that ran constantly that was beyond livable, no one slept at night as we rotated guest to share the burden of that room. Vrbo app did not work the entire time. I could not contact Vrbo, the host, and Belvilla could and did not relay a phone number for VRBo crisis team which we requested constantly through emails that were denied and said they did not have the ability.I am at a loss for words, and am seeking legal and emotional assistance from this ordeal.

À notre arrivée, l’adresse n’était pas la bonne. Le no. civique était indiqué en haut de la porte d’à côté donc nos clefs, forcément, ne fonctionnaient pas. Nous avons essayé de communiquer avec les responsables sauf que les no. téléphone indiqués dans leur processus de recommandations commençaient tous par le chiffre 33 ce qui était une erreur de leur part. Nous sommes du Canada, non pas de l’Europe ! Heureusement, le voisin commerçant a été en mesure de dénouer le problème après trois interminables heures à nous demander quoi faire afin de finalement trouver l’appartement dont la porte d’accès était à côté de celle indiquant le no. 9 ! Aussi, il a fallu aller chercher ces clés chez un commerçant situé ailleurs que l’adresse de location bref, un autre problème de plus. Aussi, il y avait des réparations quotidiennes chez le voisin qui nous empêchait de relaxer le jour. Des escaliers de haut en bas non sécuritaire en particulier pour des personnes de notre âge. Non, je ne recommande aucunement cet appartement. Sans compter qu’ils annonçaient avoir l’air climatisé ce qui n’était, en fait, que deux appareils de ventilation !

We did not receive the access code to get the key for the unit upon our arrival. It took over 30 minutes to contact the company and finally gain access to the unit. We arrived during a severe heat wave only to find that the advertised AC was not working. It was 31 degrees in the unit. We called over 10 times to try and have the issue corrected and it never was. My parents are in their late 70s and there was no air flow or AC in the unit. There was also no access to wifi. In addition, 2 bedrooms are on the top floor and the 2 bathrooms are 2 stories down in the basement. Do not be fooled by the photos. The stairs are extremely steep and dangerous. The unit was also extremely dirty with dirt on the floors and stains in the toilet.I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Worst Rental Experience Ever

This is the worst rental experience I have ever had! We booked a two-bedroom two-bath apartment in Paris with air conditioning. We were shocked when we walked in and found that the two bathrooms were in a dank basement, two floors down from the bedrooms, which were up a very narrow steep flight of stairs. Nothing in the description of the apartment gave any indication that the bathrooms were nowhere near the bedrooms. It was 94 degrees, and the air-conditioning did not work. I called Check My Guest (CMG) and Belvilla repeatedly, but nothing was done to fix the air conditioning during our four-night stay. We were roasting; it was too hot to sleep. We had nothing but problems with CMG. For example, when I received the access information for the apartment, it just gave a street address. I called CMG before we arrived to ask if we needed an access code. I was told we did not, but when we arrived at the pick-up address, we could not retrieve the key without a code. Although I had paid an additional fee for early access to the apartment, we were stuck at the store on hold with CMG while they tried to find the code. When we finally got the access code, we were provided with only one key. I asked for an additional key, as there were four of us going separate ways. CMG said they would get back to me, but we never got any further response. They only give you 1500 words, so I don't have room to describe all of the problems we had. Asked repeatedly for partial refund; zero response.
