“Unbelievably great place! My husband and I came to fish from the Pez Vela Marina, and Mar y Sombra was the perfect location to stay! The view was beautiful from up on the hill - you can see the marina and the beach and watch surfers and others enjoy the water. Every night we got to watch the sunset from our balcony! The Quepos/Manuel Antonio area is pretty small, so it was both close to town and just a few minutes to the nature park and bigger restaurants. Obviously super close to the marina!……

“Nothing about this stay was acceptable. If I could give less than one star, I would. 1. No hot water in the unit. 2. Kitchen was infested with ants and effectively unusable, forcing us to eat out. 3. Curtain rail in the bedroom was held together with duct tape and eventually fell down onto my children. 4.Beds were misrepresented in the listing. It advertised one King and two Queens; in reality, it was one Queen and two Double beds. 5. Only two towels were provided for four people.……

“I'm sorry to say but be careful booking here. They did not honor our Expedia reservation and turned us away. We Just flew in and drove from San Jose then had to find another place. Everyone was booked and drove 30 min out of town to find another place. Then Expedia tried to contact them to obtain the refund and they are not communicating with Expedia and now Expedia is not refunding me. ”

“Villa bien située, à 10 minutes en voiture du centre. La piscine et son jardin sont très bien entretenus et superbes; il y a une zone commune avec deux barbecues et une grande table. La villa elle a un beau potentiel ; elle est bien agencée; la literie est confortable ; il y a un très grand lit dans la plus grande chambre. Mais le logement nécessite des travaux de remise en état ; c'est tout sauf "luxueux" pour reprendre le terme erronné de l'annonce. Notre principal problème a été que le……

“We had the best time ever in this gorgeous home. The views are amazing. We had coffee with toucans and macaws, evening visitors like coatimundis, and so many other birds. Stargazing was fun sitting by the pool at night. We loved jumping in the pool after a day of adventures, and even swimming in a pop up rain storm. We were able to easily travel down to Play Herradura and Jaco beach for activities and restaurants. Having the grill on the deck was great for when we just wanted to relax and……

“Our family of seven had a wonderful stay at the property. It is close to town with great food options nearby. Rey responsive and helpful host who helped with dinner and activity recommendations. Woke up to scarlet macaws and toucans sitting in the tree outside our balcony. Very nice and would recommend!”

“The castle of Oz was an amazing place to stay. Its secluded enough to see animals yet close enough to town and the beach to enjoy all. We had a party of 13 and it was perfect for all of us. The staff was amazing. We couldn't have asked for more. Having a chef and driver's really made the difference in this trip. Especially having the drivers because they know where to go. If I had been driving I don't think I could have found my way around. I can't recommend the castle enough. Thank you for a……
