The sun just crested over the horizon when I took this photo of the Slater Mill Historic Site in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

This historic mill is said to be the birthplace of the American Industrial Revolution. It was modeled after cotton spinning mills first established in England.

Although it was a bitter 22°F outside, a scene like this does make me forget the cold for a few minutes.

“Home was quaint. Kitchen was complete with everything needed for cooking. Large refrigerator. Back yard has a swing set and a fire pit. Side yard had a tire swing. One master bedroom, and two twin beds upstairs. Living room has two couches. Location of the house was perfect. Close to most everything. The tree house restaurant is close by, very good! And of course don't forget iggys right near the water. ”

“This house was the perfect choice for me and my family. We were attending a wedding at Mount Hope Farm and it was quite literally a minute down the road. “The place was super comfy, clean, and well decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a nice meal. We were pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful amenities, such as spare toothbrushes (which at least one of us took advantage of, lol), shampoo in the shower, extra towels, and lots of selection from the Keurig (not just coffee, but tea, cocoa, etc.). The location was great as well -- quiet, peaceful, with off-street parking. Couldn't be better!”
