"Nice place and was not cheap. I wouldn’t recommend going here and here is why. The location is not convenient to walk to much at all. The restaurant Calabash was a joke. Staff was very unfriendly and prices were ridiculous for what you got. You could walk the beach to another restaurant but same, not good food. The restaurant that sits right on the beach has these rules that are ridiculous for the area. We sat there and watched them turn people away. You cannot have a wet suit on to go in and eat, have to have a shirt in and other silly rules. You are steps from the water and cannot grab something when hungry. No fun good music during the day made the pool bar very lame. They had what seems to be one speaker of odd music going and only the bartenders could hear it. How hard is it to play beach music at the beach and pool for people to enjoy. Beach was very nice and loungers were nice. Beds were comfortable and the bathrooms very updated. Staff all around was not friendly. We had four flights of steps to walk up and down to our room, no elevator which we are fine with but carrying luggage wasn’t the best time. Front desk ladies were only ones that were nice. We moved to LeRoy right down the street our last four days and had the best time. Much cheaper place, location was amazing and staff was helpful. Bouganvillea was very pretty but isolated."

"We stayed down he way at another very expensive hotel and then moved here . This one was better in every way except the pool was very small and nobody used it. Resort staff was wonderful. Very attentive and helpful. Clean rooms, great beds and beautiful beach access and views. I would for sure come back here. Right outside you can walk to local places to shop, eat and drink. Just book it, it’s fantastic."

"Breakfast buffet was okay. Staff was outstanding all around. Room was clean and looked recently renovated. I was disappointed to see some trash by the pool and in the beach. Usually when we travel staff is always walking around cleaning. That wasn’t the case here. "

"We had a wonderful stay at the Waves resort and would definitely recommend it. The room was very clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable, which made it easy to relax and get a great night’s sleep. There was a good variety of food options, and everything we tried was enjoyable. The spa was a highlight, truly a great experience and perfect for unwinding. We also appreciated the strong and reliable WiFi coverage throughout the property. The staff were friendly and helpful across the board, but a special mention goes to Kevin, who took the time during the orientation day to clearly explain everything and make us feel right at home. Overall, a great experience and a place we would happily return to."
