The Cottage

The cottage can sleep six with the private master bedroom downstairs, a trundle bed (two singles upstairs) and a comfy pull-out couch in the living area.

The bathroom includes a bath, shower and a heated floor.

The modern kitchen (also with a heated floor) is fully equipped complete with oven, microwave and stove. All crockery, pots, pans, cutlery, cups, mugs and glasses are provided.

The living area has a gas fireplace, a flat-screen TV with DVD and high speed internet access.

The large deck, facing west over the ocean, offers great sunsets and fabulous views year round. There is also a gas BBQ, lounges, and outdoor table and chairs.

There is an abundance of wildlife including eagles, otters, seals and deer while whale sightings from the deck are frequent.

Free parking for one vehicle is provided outside the front door to the cottage.

Getting there

You can get to Pender Island by BC Ferries, float plane, water taxi or private boat. The cottage is within easy walking distance of the ferry terminal at Otter Bay.

Shopping

A general store is a two minute walk away (closed in low season) however a taxi enables guests to travel to the Driftwood Shopping Centre for groceries, gifts, books, liquor, banking and other necessities.

Other Activities

Sunshine! It has been quoted that Pender Island gets as much annual sunshine as the Okanagan.

There are 2 heated pools (one for adults only) as well as a marina. The pools are closed during winter months. Please send request for the dates that the pools are open

Scooters are available for rental at the general store.

A nearby 9-hole golf course (0.5 km away) and there are many wonderful hikes with spectaculat views.

There are a number of restaurants on the island.

Perfect

Cottage was perfect for our 5 day trip. Views were unobstructed and amazing. The property itself was very quiet and you could hear the birds every morning. The patio is large and has a barbecue, lounge chairs and patio furniture. Cottage itself is clean, well laid out, and has a well equiped kitchen. We will be back for sure.

Otter Bay accommodation

We loved our stay on Pender Island. We had an absolutely stunning ocean view. The house was beautiful with large windows, high ceilings, and fully equipped kitchen. It has a large patio surrounding the house on the ocean side. Absolutely ideal. It allows pets which was a key for us because we have a young puppy.
