Hide-Away: Downtown Pensacola, North Hill Studio

Located in a century-old Victorian home in the Historic North Hill District of Downtown Pensacola, this studio apartment is full of charm. With original hardwood flooring and plenty of amenities, our “Hide-Away” is as cozy as it gets! We provide everything you’ll need such as kitchen essentials, toiletries, linens and a private entrance in the back of this historic home. Take a walk over to bustling Downtown Pensacola for local favorites such as Jaco's Bayfront Bar & Grille or Coffee Cup Restaurant. No matter what time of year, Pensacola is always hosting events - we are dubbed the “Festival City of the South” after all. You’ll have easy access to I-110, Pensacola Beach and Naval Air Station. We provide everything you’ll need such as kitchen essentials, toiletries, linens and a private entrance in the back of this historic home.

The studio is at the side of a Victorian home located on a busy, Pensacola street. There is potential for traffic noise.

My stay at this property was fantastic. The host, Cindy, was extremely helpful. She was a great resource for events going on in the area. I also had a very early morning flight and she was able to grant me an early arrival (granted that the room was ready). The location was a short 15 minute walk downtown (aout a little shy of a mile), I did not cook there but there is a microwave, stove, all the dishes, pots and pans and a gas grill out back. It is an older home, a bit out dated but very clean. The price was was very good for the value and it worked well for me.

Great place but fix a few things

It met our needs for the few days we were there. The shower might feel less cramped if it has a rod that curves out. The tub’s drain is also clogged. Overall, it was a good stay though.

Made our trip great!

This was one of our very best VRBO experiences. HOST: Our host was great. We had decided to add another night before we came. The date was available and she got it taken care of for us with no issue. When we arrived she made sure our check in has gone smoothly. Then, I had mentioned how we loved the space but it could maybe use a full body mirror. She brought one for us right away. She was extremely kind and responsive, I was so impressed on how great the experience was. LOCATION: I’m a huge fan of more historic neighborhoods. The house is in a great location for getting around. It’s just off a main road. I like to take morning walks and I was able to walk through the quiet neighborhoods without getting on the main road. Palafox market and the historic downtown is about 10 blocks away and we felt it was a nice distance for walking or driving. There is a nearby local organic grocery store (Evermans) that is really charming and has all the things you need for a healthy meal. There is also a Walgreens, dollar general and Publix nearby. There is a nightlife in the downtown area and we might check that out next time. THE UNIT: The unit was exactly what we needed. We were in town to visit my dad without our children. We brought lunch meat and other items to make quick meals for ourselves. Having a stove, mini fridge and some other kitchen basics was great. We really liked the patio area to chat and enjoy a morning coffee. RETURN: We will be back! Thank you, Cynthia!!

Great location and great price. Would defiantly stay there again. Would highly recommend a comfortable chair for the guest. This is the one thing I missed while having coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening while checking messages, etc.

Very clean and comfortable. The street was busier than expected, but it also made traveling to other parts of town easy so a trade off. Off street parking was very convenient. We felt very safe here. We would stay here again

Fell a Little Short of Our Expectations

The check-in process was efficient and the host was courteous and professional. The property was reasonably priced and “as advertised” with respect to amenities and access, but its condition was a little “tired.” Its proximity to a major road resulted in significant traffic noise, day and night. The position of the bed required one occupant to climb over the other to get in/out of bed, and the unit would benefit from the addition of a comfortable sitting chair. Bottom line…not a bad place for a 1/2 night stay where you are not spending much time in the unit other than sleeping. For anything of longer duration or requiring more robust amenities, you may want to consider another property.

Perfect stay for the beach

This was a part 2 to our Florida Vacation so we didn't want to spend a lot. I loved this place. It is small, but its just fine for 2 people. We had no issues with the property as you might with older homes.....it's part of the charm. The location was perfect, we could get to the beach within 20 min. The walls are thin so watching TV after 10pm seemed to bother the neighbors even with a volume of 8 so we had to continue with subtitles only for the night. All in all, no complaints. The unit had way more than we expected!

Pensacola Vacation

It was an older home but it was clean and our host Cynthia was very nice and wanted to know if there were any issues. All we wanted was a cool place to sleep at night because we were gone most of the day to the beach area. Thank you Cynthia!
