Welcome to the Escape on Rush Lake.

This adorable cabin is a must-stay for a small family or a group of friends looking for a true Up North MinneSOTA Vacation. This cabin is just steps away from the water with amazing views. 2 bedrooms, and 1 bathroom with a kids sleeping loft. Bathroom only contains shower, no tub. Includes a washer and dryer, all the kitchen amenities, coffee pot, toaster, microwave, blender, and crock pot. All toiletries, bed linens, body, and hand towels are included with your stay. Relax on the lakeside deck with your morning coffee listening to the loons.

Rush Lake is a 5,338-acre natural lake located in central Otter Tail County in the Central Region of Minnesota. Rush Lake is part of the Otter Tail River Chain of Lakes which also includes Otter Tail, Big Pine, Little Pine, Deer, East Lost, and West Lost Lakes. Otter Tail Country is located two and a half hours from Minneapolis and St. Paul and is home to over 1,000 of Minnesota’s 10,000 lakes and streams. Local attractions are the shopping venues in Otter Tail and Perham, Thumper Pond Golf Course, and Lakeside Golf Course. Come stay with us today. Nice Cabin on a Good Lake

The cabin itself while small is really nice. It wasn't really warm while we were there, the AC worked well. The lot is a nice lot with good flat ground by the lake and the shore is sand. We didn't use the washing machine, but the dryer was nice to have for wet clothes. The issues I had with the place is that while it is sand bottom it was very weedy. The neighbors either pull weeds or have a weed roller. The owners didn't do any of that. So if you are planning on swimming at the cabin plan on cleaning up yourself. The issue with that there isn't really much for tools to do that. The other issue is that the dock pictured is not what is there. The dock there is half the size and has no L with a bench. It was really frustrating to deal with as the main things we rent cabins based on swimming and fishing.

Location was great. Sadly, the cabin was not. No AC when we arrived, the toilet was plugged, the TV had no cable. Also, the deck was half the size of what was pictured on the VRBO site. I will say that they did provide a fix for most of these issues...just took time. For the price, we were very disappointed 😞

Relaxing Week at the Lake

We had a good time at this small cabin on the lake. It was a good size for our family (two adults, two kids 5 and 7). The internet was fast for streaming shows (Took us a bit to figure out the "o" was a zero in the Wi-Fi password, updated signage would help). The couch and love-seat were comfortable as were the beds. The cabin is in a good location in a fairly quiet neighborhood, about a 10 minute drive to Perham. The fishing was decent, once we found the fish (< 7' of water), even for mid-August. A few heads up for future guests:
