The bothy is also only 15 miles away from Dundee with its many attractions including the Discovery centre and the outstanding Victoria and Albert Museum. Its central location is ideal for day trips to St Andrews and Fife, Highland Perthshire, Edinburgh and Glasgow (frequent Ember bus available from St Madoes) and more.
